Another issue is Many Bud fans hate PBC so much that the internet is flooded with Spence being trash and exposed comments, opposed to "damn Bud beat the best out". the fight thread is literally dudes taking victory laps saying How trash Spence was and PBC was hiding him, that does not help the Fighter of the year Argument what so ever.

That's really easy to say in retrospect, especially being a supporter of the fighter that was on the other side of the street.

In order for Floyd to fight on PPV, it had to be Zab, despite the loss. Everyone In the black community wanted to see that fight. You can’t justify putting Floyd/Baldomir on PPV after the Zab fight.

Once Baldomir destroyed Gatti, that’s when it made sense to make the Mayweather/Baldomir fight.

Floyd became linear.

It shouldn't have happened and that fight is a big reason why I have a problem with fights being announced prematurely. It loses its luster, just like the Zab/Floyd fight list its luster.

Boots does nothing for Bud IMO Spence haters aside if Bud and Spence didn't Drag out and they fought in 2023 Nov and Had the rematch in Spring 24 and then Bud beat Mell Charlo (meaning Charlo didn't fight canelo) there maybe a better argument.

Bud is simply too damn inactive to ever be fighter of the year. Benevidez has a better claim imo

I didn't switch anything, I've been the most rational everything I said about Eyeballs was pre fight, during the fight and after I gave Bud his props, I still think the nikka is a clown thus he looks stupid as shyt crying on Twitter for folks to care about him. The nikka managed his career terribly and the Spence fight was more so Spence being stubborn and Bud hitting a lick then anything else. nikka can box his ass off but he is a clown.
