What are you talking about? When these nikkas were champions i wanted see it and I always thought joshua would KO wilder because wilder's boxing is struggle to me...I don't want to see it now because joshua is on the path to regain his belts and i want joshua vs fury fight more and wilder just got skunked on the cards by parker...wilder gotta go rebuild

I don’t think you ever wanted the fight to happen.

Fury/Usyk has a two way rematch clause. Why not take a stay busy fight against Wilder?

All facts per usual. Only haters would disagree.

yea i saw that #crawfordera hashtag on one of them crawford tweets posted in here and just chuckled to myself
nikka like 36, ain't no "Crawford era" unfortunately
20-30 yrs from now I see dudes like Crawford and Ward having moreso "iykyk" type legacies.

I literally just said in the day of reckoning thread that if Joshua and wilder lose to make the crossroads fight between those 2..I also said in the past joshua will eventually need to circle back and complete the cypher and fight wilder..however for the time being that fight does not interest me....Wilder is not the only heavyweight in that division bro :heh:

Seems like most people don't want to see Joshua vs Parker rematch, maybe Joshua vs. Dubois could get some buzz. Maybe Zhang
Problem with giving Wilder a shot now is the way Parker beat him pitching a 12 round shut out with ease. How do you even sell Wilder as any kind of threat in his next fight. Parker was able to get under the right hand the few times Wilder threw it in a way I don't see Joshua doing but that's probably the most optimistic spin I got

PAC/Morales, Zab/Mayweather

We’ve seen this story before. People will buy it. It’s definitely not ideal with Wilder coming off a loss, but it is the biggest fight available despite the loss. Plus if the Saudis are willing to stack the undercard than it’s a must see card again.

When Zab lost to Baldomir, I was cool with Mayweather/Judah still going on because it was the best option at the time.

for me give me joshua vs hrgovic or zhang..these are the viable fights i want to see...esp since one of these will be for the inevitable IBF title when it gets stripped from the fury-usyk winner :heh:

sometimes fighters have to rebuild..joshua rebuilt after the back to back losses to usyk..culminating in a good victory over a notable HW dark horse that had not been stopped before...parker had to rebuild after getting knocked the fukk out by joyce in a war..he fought 4 times this year and scored an upset

wilder can go do the same with lowered competition or entice parker into a rematch...a nikka that lost 120-108 on a card does not need a big fight off rip...thats how i feel and joshua vs wilder doesnt make sense to me...however wilder has like 2 fights left on this saudi deal he signed so we will see where he will go with it

those fights

its fukked up what they did to Raheem after he beat the shyt out of Morales..man was effectively blackballed..he was jobbed against Freitas in the fight after and his career faded to black...they didn't want him near Pacquiao

there was no winners in my mind with Zab/Floyd situation

My interest went all the way down for when Baldomir won and made Zab do a chicken dance. I didn't think Floyd vs Zab should have took place at all
Then Floyd was getting those comments he wasnt the man so he faced and beat Baldomir in a horrible fight and Zab loses to Cotto

Feel a bit bad for Bud. That was a career defining win for him. Win of his life actually. Just not enough to be fighter of the year if we’re being honest.

Also, I don’t like him seemingly begging to be fighter of the year on twitter. Makes him look like he’s not FOTH even more. Not a good look.

pretty much, dude doing all this campaigning on social media and nobody gives a shyt lol. he is stuck in a rematch with Spence that nobody wants to see and after that he doesn't have any fights lined up that people will care about, begging Canelo won't really do much, and usually Era implies we have 5-10 years of you being top dog Ala Canelo, Floyd, etc. With Bud we got 1 month of everyone saying he was that guy lol.

Another issue is Many Bud fans hate PBC so much that the internet is flooded with Spence being trash and exposed comments, opposed to "damn Bud beat the best out". the fight thread is literally dudes taking victory laps saying How trash Spence was and PBC was hiding him, that does not help the Fighter of the year Argument what so ever.

If he would’ve fought Boots, i’d give him that…

They did the best they could to salvage the situation.

In order for Floyd to fight on PPV, it had to be Zab, despite the loss. Everyone In the black community wanted to see that fight. You can’t justify putting Floyd/Baldomir on PPV after the Zab fight.

Once Baldomir destroyed Gatti, that’s when it made sense to make the Mayweather/Baldomir fight.

Floyd became linear.

I think Wilder is done. His legs are shot. It was something I noticed during the second Ortiz fight and Fury just added insult to injury with their trilogy.

And as far as rebuilding, that's going to be difficult to do. He's been the same fighter for the last ten years. He has some habits that I think are just unbreakable. Only two fighters I can think of in recent memory were able to switch their styles for the better: Cotto and Jermall.
