it's meh as fukk, especially relative to the amount of online hype and talk of Tank being this huge mega star in boxing
Not sure how people can clown non-PBC fighters for doing 150k then try to spin Tank , who's supposed to be a WAY bigger star, doing 200k as somehow acceptable
I think the reason they need to do these ppvs is to basically pay him. if he want 4-5million a fight then we going get these mid ppvs. $1mil guarantee then the other 3-4 mil off the ppv split he probably dominates as the in house a side

I think Teo moves to 140 after Kambosos … they were crying about making the weight N with errything goin on with dude now he hasn’t had to make 135 in a whole year… but it’s he does stay he got that in house Loma fight
… he definitely not fighting at 135 after Loma Best we can hope for Haney vs jojo/Fortuna

That's exactly what it is. PBC is trying to keep their fighters by keeping the purses high, but the cost is getting passed on to the fans with these PPVs.
But I mean, if we really sit down and look at the numbers, boxing has been putting up fairly underwhelming numbers for years now. 200k for a Tank Barrios fight isn't bad, especially if he's also selling out the arena in Atlanta.
Tank prints money if he fights Garcia or Teofimo.
Not Haney tho.

Anything over the standard $1mil they give top fighters for "filler fights" (Danny vs Salka, Porter vs Formella, etc) you going have to earn your money on PBC for the most part. Not too many cases of guys getting $4mil for a regular tv fight like Crawford got. You going have to do a PPV to get that

I mean I'm legit shocked Tank broke 200k against Barrios, I think given who he was fighting that is a success high key, cause @ChocolateGiddyUp aint lying Tank-Barrios should have done Crawford-Postol numbers.

Why would you say that knowing Tank is much more popular than Crawford was when he fought Postol.. not to mention they gave them an all access TV show and Tank was coming off a fight vs LSC that also did similar numbers north of 200k.. you really thought it would do 40k what Bud vs a Euro nobody did like 5 yrs ago that didn't get promoted whatsoever?...
Tank is actually a star.. he's just never gonna do big numbers until he steps in the ring with an opponent that's a believable threat

TMT tried to make the fight right after Garcia beat Campbell… Team Garcia said
no thanks… then Garcia was cappin about a
fight …then pulled out of the Fortuna fight N now he was posed to fight Rolly N that doesn’t look like it’s next either I’d bet errything I own Garcia fights a total can next N that’s it til 2022
Tank is a lower tier superstar in boxing. The right match up in his next fight could make him a legit superstar, but its gotta be the right type of fight. 200k against Barrios is decent, but I'm not sure it does that much without those all access episodes (which have been good) Even then he still packed that arena in ATL and turned it into a new fight town. Tank is definitely the new cash cow below 147. Even if you don't rock with his resume like that, he brings the stars out and you get attention.
He just need to fight someone that the casuals and advanced casuals deem as a threat. The name value also has to be greater than LSC and Barrios.
I can't blame Tank for Farmer and Garcia bytching out when both bouts were hyped an anticipated at the time. This new era will kill their own momentum, plus the nikkas that's around them.
