How about what Rios could do to Manny, he's the one who got drop twice by average power JMM the latter leaving him unconscious

he could, but unlikely because he is slow and not as crafty as Cotto. he shouldnt be mentioned in the same breath as JMM, one of the best counterpunchers of our generation. I never thought much of Rios and I guess you can tell. He actually has better than shown boxing ability, but he refuses to use it. THATS why so many people love him. I respect that.

How about a Pavlik or Pascal fight being worth big money, you think a near 50 year old fighter wants to fight for pennies against Chads boring ass

Skip, you havent been reading my posts. Thats why I said B-Hop took those fights! I said I didnt blame him. There was never any real money in a Dawson fight. Only Dawson wanted it so he could claim supremacy. Let me reiterate.

Pavlik and Pascal were bigger money fights and easier fights. The game is not about most risk, less reward. Pavlik and Pascal both brought more reward with less risk than Dawson. Need proof, look at the purses and the outcome of all 5 fights.

Rios faster than Margarito with the same exact carbon copied style, and Margarito hit a prime Manny 229 times, you dont think Rios could do that and not put the shop worn shaky chin Manny on his ass. Stop with the long ass paragraphs about bullshyt, talking out your ass:beli:

sorry, this fight has no more intrigue than FMJ-Guerrero. the only thing is people will see a one-sided beating thats worse than the Floyd fight. Rios fighting over 140 too? means he will be even slower. :deadmanny: wants a dumb fighter who will stand right in front of him. Not saying he would lose to Alvarado, but thats a lil more difficult fight than Rios. Rios already slurs his words...and that comes from him melting down to 135-140 and taking head shots (dehydration means less fluid around the brain). He already lost a title on scales. I fear for the guy...seriously, he needs to cash this check and be out.

rios is going to be the next bobby chacon when's he done fighting :smh:

Its a good fukking measuring stick for Manny and both Rios, chill out with the shyt breh, great fukking match

your inability to call it like it is never ceases to amaze me.

Measuring stick for them? NO.

What it is....is a nice paycheck for Rios and THE BEST possible TR opponent for Manny to look GREAT against. No more, no less. After a critical beating I can hear HBO now proclaiming that Manny is BACK!

It aint like Bradley nor JMM wants to face him at this point, does Manny not deserve that a easy touch , he just got slept, by putting in in with a tough fighter like Rios TR could gauge how much Manny has left. Plus Rios gets to live up to his own hype, we get to see if he could rise to the occasion.

ok, this morning I am stuck on this :duck: thang. people throw that around loosely. people run off a whole list of who Roy ducked, but truth is, he didnt. if you hear everyone's list of Roy's ducked opponents, damn near everyone of them were guys overseas who REFUSED to come to the U.S. how is that ducking? Roy was P4P king for years....if you want him, you will agree to his terms.

I wonder how you guys would feel to go to another man's country and get robbed like Andrade did against Bute? Or worse. Get rabbit punched repeatedly and end up like McClellan?

The only guy that I can think of that never ducked anyone...(that I know of or recall) is Toney. Toney would truly fight anyone, anytime, any place...and still will.

I am critical of Floyd...but be realistic. PW may have been the most dangerous ww at the time but he had little claim to being the best while Floyd was there....lol. As soon as he won his belt he lost to Quintana. He only fought two more times at WW against Quintana and Kolle. PW was only ranked in top 10 P4P one year as I recall...that was the year Floyd was retired...and Manny was #1 . If Floyd ducked him then Manny ducked him too.

Margarito...dont get me started on that cheat. He only fought PW because he was his mandatory. I remember countless interviews when he said PW was a nobody and didnt deserve a title shot, yet he lost to him.

Why didnt Pac exercise his rematch clause with Bradley? Surely one would think Bradley was an easier matchup than Marquez? If he felt he beat Bradley, why not fight him again...better yet...why have a rematch clause in the first place if you arent going to use it?

Bernard never ducks because he doesnt vacate titles unless he is moving to another division. Even still, he NEVER wanted to fight Dawson and only did so because he was his mandatory. He knew it was a fight he would have difficulty winning because of the style. B-Hop knows who he can beat and he shows that by immediately making the fight. He avoided a Dawson match for 2 years but as soon as Pavlik got the title, that fight was made in 2 months. As soon as Pascal got the belt, that fight was made in 2 months. Now I dont blame Bernard...there was much more to gain in those fights than a fight with Dawson. So was he ever legitimately ducking Dawson? No. Reluctant yes.

The only fighters that dont :duck: are the ones who never had the luxury to do so. Anyone else is fair game for discussion.

the only thing i wanna say is gerald was ruined way before benn got to him courtesy of julian jackson in the first fight

I agree, Manny does need an easy touch. I have no problems with the fight being made, its business. I just think its an unavoidable bloodbath for Rios. Maybe I am wrong. Maybe he will give Manny a tough fight. I guarantee you this though, he will leave that ring in worse condition than he came in. Bet that.

Hopkins Shocked: Pacquiao is Brave To Take Rios Fight - Boxing News

Article Link - Hopkins Shocked: Pacquiao is Brave To Take Rios Fight

IBF light heavyweight champion Bernard Hopkins was shocked when BoxingScene.com informed him that eight division world champion Manny Pacquiao (54-5-2, 38KOs) would return to the ring against Brandon Rios (31-1-1, 23KOs).

A deal for Pacquiao-Rios was announced on Monday. The fight takes place on November 23rd at the Venetian in Macau, China. HBO Pay-Per-View will carry the event.

Hopkins believes Pacquiao is a finished product and will never be the same after suffering a brutal knockout in the sixth round of his fourth fight with Juan Manuel Marquez last December.

In the opinion of Hopkins, Pacquiao should not be facing a big puncher in his first fight back.

"A B-level fighter might knock him out next time," Hopkins told BoxingScene.com.

"Brandon can punch. Are you serious? They are brave as hell. Listen, if Pacquiao fights this fight after getting knocked out like that - I have to take my hat off to him because that's a brave move. It's a not a good business move, but that's a brave move. But I guess they want to come back so quick to show that he's okay, but to me that's even worse."

My sentiments exactly

No doctors is saying Rios have Parkinsons:bryan:

Take Manny dikk out your mouth it's a tough great match, thats truly a toss up, dont try to backpedal now fakkit:ufdup:

I'm hoping Manny brutally beats Rios, he needs that and boxing needs that, if Rios gets damage he'll have a nice little retirement package, but I expect Rios to trouble Pacman and be no walkover, I'm sure how to gauge this one, which make the fight all that much better

No I hope Manny wins, always my 2nd fav behind Mayweather always from way back in the day before the hooplah between them, I just wanted to see Manny humbled like JMM did because Manny lost himself along the way, I Don't want to see him get ko'ed or lose again cause truthfully it hurt the sport I love.......... hopefully he regains form though
