Backend money this, backend money that, if they would throw around more money than the others they could have probably gotten Canelo or GGG cause according to reports they were in competition for them too not only DAZN

All the 3 main boxing "worlds" are similarly strong to me, the idea some have here that Haymon runs boxing is simply not true. You might want him to but he doesn't. Nobody does. The Matchroom FC fans on twitter think Hearn runs boxing. Guess what: he also doesn't.
Yall should forget about the idea that anyone runs this sport, this ain't MMA, this is an almost 150 years old professional sport that went through so much shyt and fragmentation during the decades that it's very hard to imagine that anyone would run it. They need to co-exist with each other, it is what it is.

This..unless you are getting paid by said entities and in that case you have to get your stan on for that bread :heh:.

Jacobs is a horrible example. :unimpressed:
His stature and Farmer stature ain't noway comparable. Jacobs was a budding star in his own right, had the brooklyn/Barclays connection, that all american cancer survivor angle they used for a little bit, and multiple wins over ppl like Mora and Quillen before he even took the GGG/Canelo caliber of fight
You can name way more ppl who prestige was closer to where Farmer is, caught a L and just disappeared like Clottey, Tavious Cloud and others. foh

The idea that getting your ass whupped is good for your career just cause it happened in front of more viewers is ludicrous to begin with. Add on the fact Farmer is a black fighter with a non fan friendly style and doesn't knock ppl out in dramatic fashion and it's even dumber

Yea DAZN changed the game when they started throwing money around. Spence is on record saying TR offered him more guaranteed money but he trusted Al more. That's alright , it's his decision. But we are seeing prospects be spread around like you said which suggests PBC ain't blowing people away with these alleged backend deals

PBC has not exactly set the world on fire with the young prospects for quite some time. Efe Ajagba is prolly the one with upside so far but they stay trying to make Joey Spencer more of a thing

Jacobs is a better example of a haymon fighter who understood more what he needed to do the make the moves he needed to keep his career momentum going

yea i was going edit my post and add that actually :mjlol:
the other platforms scooping up the likes of lopez, stevenson, haney, garcia.....and PBC scrapped the bargain bin for Ajagba. a raw ass prospect who probably took whatever lowball they were offering.
jaron ennis is there for the taking, i wonder why they haven't committed to him with something he can't refuse

I'm arguing the situations ain't comparable. Jacobs is more in the Danny Garcia level that LauderdaleBoss originally mentioned as a guy who will always have a name and marketability to bounce back after a loss on a major stage. Farmer ain't that. In fact the same people saying he should have fought Tank are also saying losing to Diaz might have cost him :francis:. It was a calculated risk but the right decision

Watch Haney, Stevenson, Garcia, and Lopez all end up with PBC too, especially Haney and Garcia since they both will probably end up at 154. :lolbron:

Nah I don’t think anybody runs it but I do think DAZN and PBC pay more than top rank. Top Rank is tight on money for anybody that not a prospect. They pay prospects a lot compared to others in order to keep their purses capped once they get to a bigger level. Loma still only making 1-2 a year and he’s one of the biggest stars in boxing.

and didn't Jacobs have an early career loss as well against Pirog. So it's not like he didn't have to rebuild his career too. Jacobs is still a good example. Add the fact that he beat cancer, what the fukk is Farmer's excuse. :hhh:

and then too many nikkas was giving Jacobs extra rounds just because he was competitive with GGG and Canelo, so who's actually running around saying he got his ass kicked? Hell, Jacobs didn't take the GGG fight until he looked vulnerable against Brook. And this is a Jacobs with wins over Quillin and Mora. All in all, Jacobs still played the game right and maximized his potential.

Tank was less proven than that version of Jacobs and with an even bigger name, and Farmer decided that losing to him was too much risk. :mindblown:

Like whats the reason you even decide to go to the gym to train if you thinking like that already :dahell:

While running from one potential ass whupping, he ran into another one from Jojo :mjlol:

He even lucks up with his opponent getting a nasty ass cut and he still can't capitalize off of the moment. :hhh:

When ducking backfires 101. :francis:
