Funny how bud didn't want Porter cause he coming off a loss but Thurman on the list.. wonder why?

Bud has fought plenty of ppl with losses, everyone has
The original reason he gave was that him and Porter had history going way back
Then Kenny Porter came out saying send him a contract and Bud just squished it cause obviously he don't want to fight Porter if he don't have to (this ain't unique or nothing for guys who knew each other as kids or former stable mates)
Thurman has no connection to Bud AND would probably generate more ppv buys since he's a bigger name and only lost once to an all time great :ehh:

Boxing went 12 rounds mainly for tv scheduling. All comes down to money. If it truly was safety they all would had went to 12 like the wbc in 1982 instead of waiting until 1988

The reduction of rounds from 15 to 12 occurred because of the tragic 15 round fight between Ray Mancini and Duk Koo Kim in 1982 which resulted in the death of Duk Koo Kim in hospital, four days after the fight. You right it is also about money, but you can't put it on TV if people are at a higher risk of dying.

That's why I mentioned 1982. WBC switched first but it took till 1988 for it to be that way across the board.
