that bag is light, can't be more than 100lbs.
Anything less than 150lbs is a waste of time...
Depends what you're getting ready for

I'm 200, my gym has 120lb bags, they work perfect for me, as I'm never going to compete in boxing

Jamal James vs. Antonio DeMarco Set For July 13 In Minneapolis

By Jake Donovan

Jamal James officially has an opponent for his latest homecoming appearance.

The 6’2” welterweight returns to his Minneapolis (Minn.) hometown for his fourth straight fight, as he next faces former lightweight titlist Antonio DeMarco. Their bout will take place July 13 at a location to be determined—likely the Minneapolis Armory, where his last three fights have taken place—in a Premier Boxing Champions (PBC) on FS1 main event.

The pairing was confirmed during Saturday’s edition of PBC on FS1.

James (25-1, 12KOs)—who turns 31 two weeks after his next fight—enters riding a five fight win streak following the lone loss of his career, a 10-round decision to Yordenis Ugas in Aug. 2016.

The fight took place on very short notice, with James—whom had just fought a grueling 10-round battle with Wale Omotoso four weeks prior—stepping in as a late replacement for an injured Bryant Perrella. Ugas had lost two straight and was out of the ring for two years but has since emerged as a top welterweight contender.

Meanwhile, James took the loss as a learning lesson, showing tremendous strides in each of his last five wins. The past three have all come at home, including a 6th round knockout of Janer Gonzalez this past February. The entirety of his five fight win streak has aired live on FS1, with his return home in a win over Abel Ramos last April marking his first fight in Minnesota since Aug. 2014 prior to the formation of adviser Al Haymon’s PBC model.

DeMarco (33-7-1, 24KOs) comes in on the heels of a points loss to unbeaten prospect Maxim Dadashev last October. Prior to that, the 33-year old southpaw from Tijuana, Mexico had claimed two straight wins, including a stunning 1st round knockout of then-unbeaten 140-pound prospect Eddie Ramirez in their Oct. 2017 Fox-televised clash.

The bout officially represents a jump in weight for DeMarco, who has sporadically fought at welterweight but is largely campaigning in the 140-pound division. He reigned as a lightweight titlist for more than year earlier in the decade, scoring a come-from-behind 11th round knockout of Jorge Linares in Oct. 2011 and making two defenses before suffering a knockout loss to then-unbeaten Adrien Broner in Nov. 2012.

DeMarco is 5-4 since that night, having fallen short in a 140-pound title bid versus Jessie Vargas in April 2014

the bolded is facts... this shyt is getting hella burn on my FB...cats are upset about the fight for various reasons lol..

storylines now

joshua - ruiz jr rematch on dazn
ruiz jr mandatories could possibly affect rematch (dillian whyte wbo mandatory is due i think)
pbc owning all 4 HW belts
will wilder go after ruiz jr for the unification?
will fury go after ruiz jr now?
ruiz jr replaced ortiz in the top 4 at HW
will fury vs wilder 2 or ortiz vs wilder 2 even make it to fruition?

prolly more storylines
What if Ortiz fights Ruiz Jr and beats him?

we are prolly working on the scenario if ruiz is still the holder of those 3 belts

  1. he goes after wilder again (if the rematch hadn't taken place and wilder still has the wbc belt)
  2. he goes after wilder again (if he failed in the rematch with wilder and wilder still has the wbc belt)
  3. a rematch clause (if ruiz put one in)
  4. whoever is the WBC champion if its not wilder
  5. possible WBO, WBA, IBF mandatories if exceptions arent granted

I just want people to still remember that we aren't too far removed from everybody feeling that Wilder got his head boxed off and should have an L on his record (in my opinion of course) so we can't be sitting here saying he's the #1 in the HW division when he has Fury problems.
Fury is a better boxer. But Wilder is like Tommy Hearns with that right.

I wouldn't mind Ortiz with the belts. I really just wanna see Wilder and Fury 2
