I truly think it's indicative of the bad blood from the failed negotiations.

What would've happened if Wilder signed a deal with Matchroom or Dazn right about now though ? He would've destroyed Breazeale but his matches against Joshua ruined?
That’s true but imo the worst thing happened to him would be that he’d announce this Ortiz fight a week later. Whyte, Wilder and Ortiz all can bang their heads in the wall that it wasn’t them. I don’t mean that Ruiz beating Joshua automatically means they would beat him too cause styles make fights (AJ already beat Whyte, Parker beat Ruiz (debedly though but not controversially)) Whyte beat Parker, AJ beat Parker and Ruiz beat AJ) but still they must feel some type of way that “what would have happened” if that’s them in there, all would have given a lot more chance to an upset than Ruiz.

This got me thinking of how it was taken for granted so long that shorter dudes at HW can’t reach big success in the era of giants. Wlad had to learn and perfect how to keep shoter dudes at range. He perfected it and the competition wasn’t that stiff either so I got used to seeing short HWs struggling to get inside. But this new breed of giants like AJ or Wilder hasn’t perfected this and we saw both of them getting into trouble against shorter HWs. They yet have to perfect how to keep these dudes at range, they might never learn it.
Fury with his uncanny movement for a HW might be the exception. He didn’t have much problem with shorter dudes

We take the deserved L for last night and get it right in the rematch. . .

If Wilder wasn't shook that could've been him taking all them belts :francis:
He still wouldn't have fought him last night even if he did take that deal.

It was a while ago but Fury got floored by SS cunningham clean, but he's worked through that

April 13th in London was the previous deal, so yeah it would've been on.
Wilder was still trying to make the Fury fight happen. There would've been no reason to take the AJ fight instead of that one given the controversial finish.

I hear you but it is what it is, offer was on the table and we know the likelihood was Wilder knocking him out (If he took the fight . . . .)

I can’t emphasize how important being active is. Ruiz just fought last month.

I’ve been telling people for years that we aren’t getting the best product possible. These guys fight once or twice a year. That isn’t enough.
Bingo dudes can’t improve and or get a rhythm fighting twice a year

How is it possible for a 6'4 240 pound HW to have not scored a knockout in 44 bouts :why::wtf::gucci:

zuri didnt turn over his punches...he was notorious for this but he was a sound boxer...reportedly he liked the notoriety of not knocking anyone down or out so he did this on purpose...apparently thats what got him fights..promoters, prospects, and contenders take him lightly based off that record and bam..they got spoiled (mccline) or almost spoiled (rahman) ...motherfukker caused a good amount of upsets here and there because of it
