Not sure how relevant this will be but here's the lyrics to "The Lament Of The Alpine Shepherd Boy", which is where I assume next week's episode got it's name from:

Oh! my home, native home, how dear are thy hills,
Thy music how sweet of thy murmuring rills,
How gentle and soft is the breath of thy gales,
As sweetly they blow o'er the vine scented vales
Farewell! to ye all, valley mountain and plain,
And the grave of my Leila, Far, far o'er the main
But hark! and the mountains re-echoed his sigh
The echo! sweet echo (etc.)

A shepherd boy, pale from afar, o'er the main
Sat piping all lonely and sad was his strain
Oh! my own native land my mountain so blue,
My Leila, I weep for my home and for you
Hark! The echo! her spirit seems whispering low,
But alas! She is dead, And my tears they must flow!
That voice once again now I know thou art nigh
The echo! Sweet echo! With thee let me die!

Pretty bleak lyrics.

That show Battle Creek seems interesting, it is got vince and the guy who wrote on House MD as creators. :ehh:

CBS is kinda disingenuous in the marketing of that show.

Vince Gilligan wrote "Battle Creek" 10 years ago....nobody wanted it, including CBS.

Fast forward to 2013, "Breaking Bad" is all over the place, millions of viewers, winning awards....CBS was basically like :lupe: "how can we capitalize on this?" so they dusted off the old ass script and asked if they could use it. Aside from the first episode, which is just a modified version of what Gilligan wrote 10 years ago, he has no connection to that show. That hasn't stopped them from putting "FROM THE CREATOR OF 'BREAKING BAD'" in front of every promo though.

What year is it? I remember cell phone cameras came out when I was a Freshman in High School (2003-2004).

A few cell phones had cameras in 2002 (the year "BCS" is set in) and by 2003-2004 they were fairly mainstream.

2002

In 2002, technology made another huge change in the history of mobile phones, putting a great full colour display and integrating camera to mobile phones, producing the world’s first camera cell phone. The Nokia 7650 shown here is on sliding mode, features a great colour display and a 0.3MP camera allowing you to snap pictures on the move.
