smh posting Pipeaboi vids should be neg worthy at thins point :snoop: He's a clickbaiting cloutchasing weirdo

:mjlol:You choke in grocery stores getting food with your family. You're lucky I didn't neg you for that shyt. LOL.

Basically, he was saying one of the reasons why Brizz didn't do the battle is because they put out the trailer and he told them he didn't want to do the battle. And they still dropped the trailer anyway. That doesn't really say anything either but that was fukking weird if he said it that long ago. Plus, they did all this photo shyt and the promo for it.

Ultimate Rap League Sued by Co-Founder Dagoberto Velez for $40 Million
September 15, 2020, 2:07 pm

Executive alleges he was wrongfully forced out after lucrative deal signed with Drake and Caffeine, Inc.

Co-founder of the Ultimate Rap League, Dagoberto Velez recently filed a $40 million lawsuit against Ultimate Rap League LLC (URL), alleging he was wrongfully pushed out of the battle rap company after it signed a lucrative deal with world-renowned recording artist Aubrey "Drake" Graham and social broadcasting platform Caffeine. Velez, who helped build URL as, among other things, its primary talent recruiter, filed the multicount lawsuit against URL and executives Troy Mitchell, Eric Beasley and Jean French, alleging breach of contract, wrongful dissolution, negligent misrepresentation, breach of fiduciary duty and unjust enrichment among other counts. Velez is represented by attorneys Jamar Creech of Diversified Law Group, Landon White and Martinis Jackson.

According to the lawsuit, Velez co-founded URL in 2009 and has since been responsible for identifying and securing most of the talent that appeared on the company’s many online rap battles. The lawsuit states that Velez had authority to bind the company to contracts and engage in negotiations. He often appeared on camera to represent URL, and his image and likeness often appeared on advertisements. The lawsuit explains that Velez was an integral part of developing URL into "The World’s Most Respected MC Battle Arena," and defendants Mitchell, Beasley and French have made admissions that Velez is a partner or joint venture of the company.

In February 2020, URL announced a partnership with Drake and Caffeine, Inc., to supply battle rap content on Caffeine’s social broadcasting platform. On April 28, 2020, the defendants publicly "dissolved" their relationship with Velez. On July 1, 2020, Caffeine announced that it raised $113 million in a Series D round of funding and that battle rap will be its "anchor" content and highlighted its relationship with URL.

The lawsuit states that Velez was a significant contributor to URL, helping it get exposure on national television and contributing to the landing of the company’s deal with Caffeine, Inc.

Velez seeks more than $40 million in damages as well as a 10% royalty in perpetuity from URL. The lawsuit is available here and at www.LawsuitPressRelease.com.

300 murders a year
From what I have picked up from what brizz kinda leaking

Apparently url put out the trailer even after brizz said he didn't want to do it. That url was kinda pushing him to do it and forcing his hand with dropping the trailer

And some of the issues brizz had was with the time limits. I wonder if mook wanted another unlimited round or something idk.

Interesting he hired a young 2-person law firm in Maryland. Either they’re geniuses about to make their name getting Norbes $40mil or no one else would take the case

I could see them tryna fix this messy situation asap with a settlement. Since Norbes was a partner, he has to be compensated to some capacity.

Yeah Hollow didn't word that right about the investment part. Plus, it was lower than what they were hoping to get from what I recall the articles was saying; better yet, it was never disclosed how much of that Caffeine gave to SMACK URL. And furthermore, Caffeine is still distributing money for the contests they have as well and probably even paying people who have nothing to do with battle rap on their platform; such as the gamers and hell maybe even DJs who may go live on their platform. However, those Caffeine deals to get channels and get maybe some extra money is an interesting point. Because, Caffeine is still competing with Twitch. And they can't surpass Twitch, they're gonna look at the numbers again of everything and definitely if SMACK URL has helped or hurt them. I do think Norbes is making them look like somewhat of a liability in this case.
