I think members of URL are involved but not Smack specifically. Beasley & possibly Norbes are involved, but ultimately if they do anything outside the brand with Smack talent it can get deaded if Smack feels like it's stepping on his toes. Think about it. Why would they even announce Chess being on the card unless someone from URL okayed it? These leagues know better at this point, someone said it was a go, but Smack veto'd that shyt.

Recently Smack announced on Queenzflip podcast his five "gunners".

That means he's actually paying attention to those five, lol. We saw the tweets about Tay Roc apologizing to Smack, apparently Smack isn't happy about Roc & Chess doing the UDUBB card. Roc is still on the card, but Chess isn't in a position to give Smack the "My bad bro, I got you".

lol though, it looks like Smack had no idea all this was happening until last week.

Beasley & Norbes are clearly cool with the UDUBB stuff. Smack isn't. Maybe Cheeko isn't either, but I think Smack saying "NO" is enough to keep Chess off the card.
