And people are seriously misunderstanding what no more money in battle rap really meant.

Sponsors will come and go, but they never last forever and that is with any business. They get in try to eat off the audience then get out. Caffeine bit off more than they could chew but no one ran investors off. This is what investors will always be. Drop some money get some promo or try to build their platforms then bounce.

Battle rap is not dying, what you are seeing is layoffs. This is the equivalent of Amazon laying off 10000 workers. The superstars will always get their price. The guys who don't have that brand will either take that shorter money or go and battle on a mom and pop league for 3500. Guys who done battled everyone but lost their stardom a bit either take the pay cut the downsize or go to a small league and battle for less or just quit battle rap. It's not that it's not money in battle rap and it's just not money for certain guys. People like hitman , clips nitty geechi twork roc lux mook etc will always get their money but guys like verb, Jones reed dollars etc are going to be effected by the lay offs and downsizing. That's all that's happening.

Nah..... it's dying champ. URL has no choice but to keep recycling cards/names. RBE leaving was crucial, Lux vs Nitty kinda stop the bleeding for a minute, Kotd is trying to give it a shock or two from the AED. Eazy vs Ill Will can give it another breath of life as Lux vs Nitty did, if it turns out how I hope it'll be. The amount of must see match ups left in battle rap is in the single digits.
