Yeah
saw it for the second time this morning, and it's even better than I originally thought........cause this time I was able to pay attention to a lot of the small details they put in this movie, and man....this shyt is great...

also, said it once, i'll say it again: ole boy that plays lex does a hell of a job...I really paid attention to him, and the lil shyt he does to show the character struggling with trying to be that suave, smooth person with everyone while really thinking about control, power, evil shyt.....man, oh man...

...think when people watch this movie again with looking for shyt they wanted it to be, they gonna appreciate this...
Agreed

Yeah I thought Lex Luthor's character was amazing. I'll even go on to say he is my second favorite comic book villain on film. Dude was truly sinister, which I love. People say he was similar to Heath Joker, but is that such a bad thing? :manny:

The only part in the movie that legit pulled at my heart strings

The scene when Supes is at the court house and the senator is noticing something isn't right and then looks at the wheelchair guy and then BOOM! I legit felt so bad for Clark because there was nothing he could do and he was trying to convince the world that he's not dangerous and it back fired. The whole shot of the fire blazing around him and him not even flinching just standing there with that look of disappointment in himself and heartache on his face was hard to watch.

The whole tyrant superman thing doesn't seem that crazy due to how they were setting up things.
Perry White telling Clark "You don't get to decide whats right and wrong."
Clark saying he didn't see the bomb because he wasn't looking. Meaning his trust in mankind will be a lot less moving forward.

When you look at it. It doesn't seem like Superman is what Clark really wants to be. It looks like hes only doing this to honor both his fathers. But Clark doesn't see the potential in him that they saw.

I don't think the movie should of ended with Superman dying. I would have much preferred it ending with Clark realizing this he is ultimately the cause of all this destruction and chaos that keeps happening on Earth. Batman and Superman decides to fake Supes death to the public and Superman then freezes himself in ice inside his fortress and tells Batman to wake him when the world needs him again. Batman then decides to gather up the other meta humans because he knows the world is still vulnerable and only wants to awaken Superman as a last resort.

Then in JL part1 we gather the members and towards the end or the middle of JL part2 they awaken Superman to take Darksied head on or something like that. I just think the JL movies would be a lot better if Superman wasn't around during most of it just so the other heroes could shine a little bit more and then bringing out Superman as the finisher.

No hate but your review is so vague did you actually see it

Yes, I did.

NO, HELL NAW!

What was so good about the action here compared to Rises? :dwillhuh: I couldn't believe how flat and mediocre the Batman vs Superman fight was, not even going to talk about that :trash: with Doomsdayzilla :scust:. Smallville fight in Man of Steel blows any action scene in this movie out of the water.

i' put this in the spoiler thread but realized there were no spoilers lol......so i'll put it here:

saw it again this morning and this movie is good as hell...was able to pay a lot of attention to the lil details in the movie, and it's better than I originally thought, and I liked it a lot the first time....this shyt is truly good as hell.....other lil shyt I picked up after this viewing:

- the dude that played lex did a hell of a job....the lil shyt he did to show the struggle with trying to be 1 person in public, while being another in private, just damn....and you can tell near the end of the film, he was starting to get a grasp on it and was becoming more like the established lex we know...the speech he gives to superman while on the roof, oh my damn....another example of lil shyt: him telling the senator 'she was gonna be on the hot seat' before she walked in the hearing that got bombed....that's shyt established lex would say/do.....

- speaking of the struggle with being 1 thing in public, 1 in private, that's what this whole movie is about, for most of the characters....it's about the struggle of becoming one's self...superman's struggle about being a hero....batman's struggle about being a hero....ww struggle about being apart of the world again...I mean, this movie shows a lot of that shyt in such good detail....

- to go off the last point: after seeing it again, I can see why people might not like it....while it does have action, most of the VS in the movie isn't physically conflict, it's internal or a battle of philosophies/thinking...while that is sticking to the comics and he did a hell of a job presenting it, people probably are going there to just see batman and superman physically fight....hell, heard a lil kid ask that when the movie started 'when are they gonna fight?'....even though he was a young kid, he summed up what a lot of people, including adults think going into it....

another thing I'm noticing about people calling this 'boring': they expected physical fighting the whole movie cause it's called VS, when that's never been the case with batman/superman...their fighting is more about difference in philosophies, which this movie shows very well....
I gotta disagree. This movie did what your saying very poorly. Batman and Superman never really interacted on a philosophical level. They tried to set it up like that with the convo Bruce and Clark had at Lex's Party but it never follows through and eventually they just end up fighting because of the BS Lex was feeding them.

Edit: If Batman and Superman continued that dialogue somewhere during their fight than I would agree. Them having a verbal fight alongside the physical one about how they believe justice should be served or whatever would have made the dispute more believable. And that was a major missed opportunity. The lack of dialogue between the two during the actual fight was disappointing.
