That scene with lex on the helipad is full of dope dialogue that I think most people will overlook

Read another interesting opinion about Lex on facebook :jbhmm: @-DMP-
In Lex's twisted mind it was him seeing if he had the power to control or destroy a God. Whoever can control Superman first wins the Earth. Can he control him before Darkseid comes or can he be capable of destroying Superman and being prepared for the war with Darkseid. Once he realized he had no control of Doomsday the prison scene is him knowing they have no answer for Darkseid who he knows is coming. All is lost. He has no control and lost both Doomsday and Superman. They know we have no answer.

I don't agree..but then again:lupe:

I agree and we really need to change the narrative.... this was a good film.... but it was a good film like a good player in a bad game

If this was basketball.... this was like a game where;

Batman was Bron dropping 40/15/10
Superman was Kyrie dropping 25/6
WW was Love dropping 17/13

But Lex was JR shooting them out of a W with some apparent minor issues from the other cast falling flat with Dela, Triston, Mozgov the "reveals"

And bad calls or etc by the refs or costly turnovers equating to pacing, decision making, etc.

Overall.... "good" game, but something was off that cost them the W:russ: But on no fault of the major players (excluding one)
So in other words ..

This movie was the #1 seed in the East, but no one considers it having enough cohesion to win a championship or compete with juggernauts :jbhmm:

this was a good film
If you like train wrecks.

This is like one of those licensed video games where if you're a fan of the license you might enjoy it but for everybody else it's a turd.

There are plenty of examples of good comic book films The Dark Knight for example if we're sticking to DC was a good film. People who weren't Batman stans could sit through that movie and enjoy it.

This did make me want to see the Wonder Woman film though. Wonder Woman killed it in this. Perhaps because she didn't have to do much but step in and be bad ass for a few moments.

JUST CAME BACK FROM THE MOVIE :blessed:

My Review on the way

Major Praise: fukkING BATMAN !!!! :lawd:
Major complaint: CGI !!

- REVIEW -
Movie started off slow but it made sense why, explaining the aftermath of the metropolis attack and also the worlds take on Superman

the Bat lifting young bruce up was not needed tho lol, shyt was comedy status in the theatre. :mjlol: nikka twirling like he dancing on ice

Ben Affleck played BATMAN, how Batman is meant to be played, Bruce knowing HE IS Batman and that Bruce is his cover (not Nolans bull crap where the nikka aint even wanna be Batman cause some dumb bish died :scust: )

Visually, everything about Batman was AMAZING, his entrance into the Batcave was beautiful, hell the ocean view crib was too flawless, gave us the insight of what Billionaire Bruce was all about. :whoo:

I liked how Bruce was the Batman we loved, he showed signs of PREP TIME (training and plotting to fight Supes), Knew a number of languages (Russian), COULD ACTUALLY FIGHT

Jeremy Irons was a class act, thats a suave Alfred if there ever is one, shows that he's more than a Butler but a partner who can handle himself (once again :scust: @ Nolans Alfred)

Whoever says Superman was dull and emotional is most likely a Marvel stan who thinks being emotional is tears and cracking jokes 24/7 , the nikka was upset when talking to his mom cause the world wasnt sure about him, shyt when the damn Senate hearing went off you could see the disdain and grief on his face, he knew he fukked up somehow and he was tryna fathom all the dead people..

Eisenberg.. WOW, now i see where all the complaint comes from (seems more riddler than Lex), BUT PLEASE dont let that distract you from the plans and his execution of it all, THE AUDIENCE AT MY THEATRE loved him especially his jokes, shyt he was menacing, i could hear people chattering about how scary he is...

When he sent the piss jar and ol girl was SHOOK AS fukk :merchant:, the whole cinema was silent, shyt was tense

Now his theme song.. WOW, HIS DAMN THEME SONG, if that didnt make him more menacing then im sorry, you just a hater.. cause that theme song when he got off his helicopter.. WOW, i was literally clapping cause shyt was just WOW..

Its funny how he never personally called himself ''LEX'' tho but addressed people to him as Alexander, so it might be a play on him not being the typical Lex we know but a variation of the alternate Earth Alexander.

''crime wave in Gotham'', ''WATER IS WET'' :mjlol: fukkING DEAD LOL

There's no reason anyone should complain about the movie being too dark, we have a Bruce who has been fighting crime for 20 years and has SEEN IT ALL, Alfred alluded to that with the constant theme of ''Good men turning Bad'' i saw it as both a play on supes and Bats, especially Bats cause this is an already established DC universe, one can come to the conclusion that Bruce was never this dark, the loss of Todd most likely pushed him over the edge, which is why he didnt seem to care about the level of brutality he handed out anymore. :smugdraper:

With Supes, here we have a newbie superhero still coming to terms with his powers, and on his inception of being great has a hand to the loss of thousands of lives, he's still coming to the terms of what he caused/ could have prevented and also how the world doesnt seem to see him as a good guy. Of course he's not gonna be cheery, give the guy a break.

It was good to see an angry Supes tho, even I felt the terror. :whew:

NO ONE, I MEAN NO ONE in the cinema was a fan of the romance between clark and lois :russell:, shyt nikkas was groaning when he sent the ring and when he stopped the fight with doomsday to save her, nikkas laughed all over when i shouted ''Let her die'' :lawd:

I think people shyt themselves in the first hallucination with the big ass Bat lol (i almost died yooooo)

I was the only one who got the Darkseid reference in the cinema smh (fukking noobs), evil supes = GOAT.. nikka fried the regime with no thought (Injustice ??)

Am i the only one who felt the Spaceship interaction with Lex was hinting at Braniac ?? the way the tentacles moved and the talk about the ship having knowledge of thousands of worlds, lol i mean.. BRAINIAC

Wonder woman was BEAUTIFUL.. i liked how they made her graceful and still showed she was a threat, she wasnt fighting doomsday to survive, bish was having fun :blessed: they made her a princess and a warrior and it worked.

Once again, I stand with my notion that DC has a sleeper with Aquaman...nothing has ever been done underwater and especially amazing.. so i think DC has a chance to own something in this CBM era, if AM is done well, i think DC willl gain an edge, Drago looked damn good :ahh:

Still iffy on Flash but we'll have to see, Cyborg cant comment, was nice seeing the Motherbox in action though.

...... IN CONCLUSION

The hate the movie is getting is HIGHLY unwarranted, whatever reason you have against the movie shouldnt be anything less than 60%

VISUALLY = 8/10 (would be higher if not for that cgi cringe fest when supes got nuked :scust: )
Story line = 6.5/10 (they had A LOT of stories to tell and not enough time)
Action = 10/10 (warehouse scene = GOAT fight scene EVER !! #2 is from Winter Soldier)

overall the movie is a must see, def seeing it again, its that good.
Seriously its not that hard to put stuff in spoilers:shaq2:
Theres a thread for play by plays :beli:

Watched it earlier, my word what a boring movie.

How on earth do you make a movie about Batman taking on Superman, a dull, tedious and excruciating affair to watch? I was waiting for the movie to pick up and it just never did. The last act with Doomsday was absolutely terrible and the movie turned into Godzilla 98.

The only thing that movie had going for it was the Lex Luthor character, who was clearly modeled on Heath Ledger's Joker and what they were trying to imitate. However Eisenberg just couldn't pull the performance off and he came across as cringeworthy. If the character was played by an actor who could also be intense on screen it would have worked and saved the movie.

Not seeing what all the hype is with Ben Affleck's Bruce Wayne/Batman is about. He was no better or different than Christian Bale. The version looked better and moved better and that's about it. But performance wise, nah. Another Batman who lacks brains and just a brute.

The movie was all over the place, had storylines and characters that weren't needed in a movie called "Batman vs Superman" and you could have easily removed about 30-45 minutes. At best it's a 5/10 and that's what the first 2/3 was but once Doomsday came in it turned into loud hot :trash:. The fight between Batman vs Superman so average.

Critic reviews were spot on and I went in thinking they might have been overblown :yeshrug:.
No hate but your review is so vague did you actually see it

saw it for the second time this morning, and it's even better than I originally thought........cause this time I was able to pay attention to a lot of the small details they put in this movie, and man....this shyt is great...

also, said it once, i'll say it again: ole boy that plays lex does a hell of a job...I really paid attention to him, and the lil shyt he does to show the character struggling with trying to be that suave, smooth person with everyone while really thinking about control, power, evil shyt.....man, oh man...

...think when people watch this movie again without looking for what they wanted it to be, and just for what it is, they gonna appreciate this...

I disagree...Batman's fight scenes in TDR were laughable which is crazy because I thought that Catwoman's fight choreography in the same movie was pretty dope.

This Batman moved better and more fluidly and that's it. Still had the same problem of characters just completely freezing instead of firing.

Both Bane vs Batman fights >>> Batman vs Superman. Bane/Batman chase & Batman/Talia chase >>> Opening car scene & Dockyard chase. The stuff in Rises actually stood out.

another thing I'm noticing about people calling this 'boring': they expected physical fighting the whole movie cause it's called VS, when that's never been the case with batman/superman...their fighting is more about difference in philosophies, which this movie shows very well....
