North Jersey but I miss Cali :sadcam:
so, have you seen the movie or you still talking about your ass? i ask cause what you said isn't true....there is a plot, that's easy to follow...whether you like it or not is up to you, but it's there...the same goes for the story....i'm not saying you nor anyone has to like the movie, whether you like it or not is up to you, but some of yall saying it's not good aren't even using real reasons, yall just pulling shyt out yall asses...

I haven't seen it yet but based on the spoilers I predicted most of the movie plot devices.

Secondly I have gone into the MOS fukkery in detail. shyt that just didn't make sense.

There have only been ONE Superman Origin movie and that was in what? 1979. Just because Everyone knows it doesn't mean you have to skip on in the damn movie. That was their biggest mistake. If you're introducing a new Superman, do a proper origin. Batman had one in TDK. Why couldn't Superman.

Then you have an inexperienced Superman take on Zod and his squad... AND WIN easily :mjpls:

This whole universe feels rushed and forced.

Just saw it. A solid 7 - 8. Seems because it wasn't exactly what a lot of people wanted, it got panned hard.

Waaaaaaaaay too much focus on fukking Lois Lane tho, breh :stopitslime:

Amy Adams just wack af to me, so this bytch just RUINED scenes, and she was in a lot of them.

Bats/Supes/WW were all pretty good tbh, angry Supes is top notch piff. Ben acted his ass off in this, way better than Bale ever did. Ben should have been Batman along with his piff voice changer. :blessed:

Lex wasn't bad for who he was, but he just wasn't the Lex people expected and wanted. While Lex was always a little off, this guy was just neurotic and crazy as catshyt.:scust:

I can't call it a horrible casting choice because for the character portrayed, he did it completely perfect. :patrice:It just wasn't Lex Luthor swagging the fukk out on Supes so it came off forced and uninspired.:patrice:

Fight scenes were all good, you could feel and hear the power of the hits everyone was dishing out. DBZ-esque :blessed:

Plot wasn't flowing though, which can vastly hurt people's opinions. Idk whether it was too many flashbacks, or the very slow pacing of the first act. A lot of holes that left me :dwillhuh:

In conclusion, if I was following the movie for a long time like I know some people, and coming in with all of these expectations, I would probably give it a 5.

However, I'm casual as fukk so it was solid to me :manny:

I think that's because it's setting up for a
Infinite Crisis/ Injustice: Gods Among Us. The tragic role Lois plays if they're TRULY going to go there is what going to make Superman go completely rogue and create a post-apocalyptic totalitarian rule governed by Superman himself. It's strongly hinted that Superman's true weakness is his love for Lois as shown as his appearance to save her in Africa as well as when Lex tossing her off the building just to lure Superman to him. Even Flash in Batman's vision warned that Lois was the KEY

After seeing it twice...
The only movies I'd take ahead of it are Nolan's 1st two Batman films, Iron Man, Avengers, CA: WS, and maybe GOTG.

The only reason its not ahead of a few of those is because Snyder/Studio just didn't know how to edit this movie in a way to keep the story as focused as those other movies. The highs of this movie is some of the best I've seen. The lows...well none of the movies listed have lows like BvS.

I still gotta let it process. Snyder films aren't for everyone.
The more I think it about it should have been two movies if they really had almost 6 hours of footage.

i'm not ready to say where it's at like all time...need to see it again, especially that director's cut....after the 1st viewing, i put it right there with 1st avengers, watchmen (theater version), spidey 1, and scott pilgrim vs the world to name a few...which is damn good company....

Behind You
You still need to give Aquaman and Flash they're origin story in the film

The average person don't know them like that, especially if they different from the comic.

If they not gonna do the single films first than they have no choice but to put all that origin story in the JL movie
Man, my church lady mom knows who the Flash and Aquaman are and the only TV she watches is Bobby Jones Gospel.
And all anyone needs to know in a Justice League movie is that The Flash runs fast and Aquaman talks to fish...in-depth origins can be saved for their own movies.

I just got back from seeing this, im disappointed the movie should've been an easy lay up and they managed to screw it:francis: up smh Batfleck was the mvp and WW really impressed me Lex Luther was subpar,Doomsday was an overkill and those damn dream sequences gave me flashback of Sucker Punch(not a good one):francis:

Personally this is in my top five of comic book movies.
1. Winter Soldier
2. Dawn of Justice
3. Avengers
4. The Dark Knight
5. Spider-Man 2
Again this my personal favorites. I'm sure most of you would disagree but :yeshrug:

Dope list. Don't know what anyone could argue. Still early for dawn of justice but all four others really propelled the genre at their time.

I went in with low expectations and I still don't know if they were met or not or exceeded...

Just one of the strangest movies I have seen in awhile...as far as pacing and scale goes...

I abhor Afleck but he was actually pretty good as batman...

Pacing in this movie is virtually non existent...just jumps from scene to scene without any real rhyme or reason

And yet...I do have to applaud Snyder...because he really did try to make a real movie with super heroes in it...instead of just the typical marvel formula...where every movie outside of Winter Soldier is pretty much formulaic and interchangeable...he really did try to make a real adult movie...i can't imagine anyone who read the batman and superman comics growing up liking this at all...it has some real adult themes...asked real adult questions...I also applaud the movie being about batman and superman...not about Bruce and Clark...there are very few bruce and clark scenes that are important to the movie...which takes some guts because all superhero movies have to have "we are human to" scenes...and this movie has like...2...

Eisenberg is so bad in this...and that hurt cause I am a stan of his...and it's not really his fault...Lex is a guy who should be played one way...same as he always is...he is supposed to be a person who at least when it comes to intelligence...wit...charisma...personal gain...is every bit as powerful as any DC villain or hero...instead he comes off as just some whiny cac who wants...something...never really explains what he wants...and that is a shame...every time I saw him on screen I was thinking "why isn't this dude playing the riddler?" It's like he played the riddler and then at the last minute they changed the riddler to Lex...

Fight scenes were even bleh...thank god they wasted Doomsday on this...a mindless villian for a mindless movie...

On the one hand this is only the second movie in the DC universe that is supposed to tie into the Justice League...so Warner Bros should get a little slack here...DC characters are completely different from marvel characters...it is going to take some time to get it right...and I like the fact that they took chances with the movie...even though they failed...on the other hand...man do they have a long way to go...they STRUGGLED to tell a story with 3 superhero characters and a mute brute villian in 2 and a half hours...how on earth are they going to tell a JL story with six superheroes and Darkseid?

Will need to see the directors cut before I can give a final judgment on the movie...Watchmen Director Cut is so much better than the theatrical version...Snyder needs to learn how to tell a story in two and a half hours though...

bu bu bu bu but technically..... Zod too was inexperienced as Superman been flying for a few years or at worst months and had training with his powers like eye beams and frost breath while Zod just kinda stumbled on it and learned it on the fly by accident...:lolbron:

he was at a disadvantage :sas1:
