So him and Bruce basically had the same motivation for wanting to get rid of Superman?

So with Lex sending the letters to both Bruce & Clark, how could he be counting on Batman to kill Superman? He was doing it before the kryptonite was discovered so what made him think Batman stood a chance?

He wasn't.

Anybody else thought It was poorly done how they had lex going bald. I mean really lol

yeah.. I thought he'd go bald from being near the kryptonite too much

Guess when he eventually gets out of jail we'll get the green robo suit Lex.... I thought they'd go the president route first

I liked the Darkseid easter eggs, but I'd prefer Brainiac be the villain first..... he's already connected to this whole Kryptonian ship stuff they have going on

I hope they further tease Darkseid in the JL films and use Brainiac as the villain but I know its not gonna happen

Not to me, the writers did drop the ball at explaining characters motivations and the editing is off at some places but this movie is good.

Lex sent the letters to Bruce to further manipulate the Superman hatred because Bruce's main goal aside from stopping those terrorizing Gotham is trying to save the people he loves.. he felt he failed considering what happened to his building during the Zod fight and the aftermath so mentally Lex twisted the knife a little deeper...

Lex also didn't trust Supes but he has more of a powertrip thing going on as to why he wanted ppl to look at Supes differently... basically the same motivations as all the other incarnations of Lex

I forgot if the kryptonite was discovered before or after the party scene to comment on when Lex started manipulating Bruce

You know what? I think it was after because that was Bruce's goal of going right? That would explain why he counted on Bats to kill him but correct me if I'm wrong

Bruce had been looking into Lex for a long time he just didn't know it was Lexcorp at first. He figured it out after he got to the Russian dude he'd been tracking for awhile He was after a mineral (Kryptonite) but said it was a "dirty bomb". I have to rewatch the movie over again to get the timeline of events correct.

Bruce was plotting on Lex in order to kill Superman and I think Lex found out and began plotting on Superman destroying Bruce/Batman. Not necessarily killing Superman more so trying to expose Superman as less than a God that he was being compared too... But he planned on using Doomsday to kill or counteract Superman as well thinking he could control Doomsday

I don't think this film will kill the franchise like everyone is saying. It might push JL back though depending on how much money it makes.

I will say though my mom isn't a DC/comic book AT ALL and she thought the movie was excellent, said she was never confused, understood everything, and it was funny so here's hope that more of the GA feels the same way she does

Lex didn't count on Batman having a shot against Superman...his orders were for Superman to go to Gotham, kill Batman and come back with his head.

It's like, not only did the explain Lex, Bruce's, Diana's motivations... You could also figure it out.

Bruce lost people he cared about in Metropolis. Anger and Fear wanted Superman dead

Diana had info stolen from her that could expose her. She didn't care about anything else

Lex wanted Superman destroyed out of fear and jealousy.

Superman just wanted to keep everyone safe.

So what if he needed batman for help.. its not hard to understand why
