no, it's not...this shyt was good quality...dont know why they trashing it so, i'm not into all that agenda shyt, so that's whatever...but this shyt is good, go see it...
Im seeing it tomorrow night. Im not going in with pre conceived notions. I really hope I walk out and can honestly say I liked it and write up a solid review here

Im a huge Batman fan ... both film , animated works, and some comic. So if anyone will like it (from what Ive heard) , it would be someone with a background I just described since it supposedly does Batman well

First of all...... Why this movie mainly feel like a series of vignettes?

Like you know how you go to YouTube and search for vines of a particular topic? It's like every scene was a hard cut with no real flow and at times no rhyme or reason

My other questions..... I'm not gonna ask just yet cuz it's early and spoiler territory and want the brehs in here to see it so gonna give it a week.

The "reveals" felt forced.... Completely inorganic and really added nothing

A bit of that even though some of the criticism is valid.

Some of the criticism was plainly not true. This idea it's humourless when there three characters who offer plenty of humour (Alfred, Perry and Lex) especially if you consider the tone of the film.

Movie had potential to be a GOAT... Still does on the Bluray version. But it's a solid 8... If you liked MOS or Frank Millers Batman.

If you're looking for the goody 2 shoes Superman/Batman of the past then this isn't it. Not even close. Superman had more lines than people think but he could've had more. Should've cut out Eisenbergs dialogue for more Superman dialogue..

The reviews are accurate more or less.

So would you agree with the two post I quoted? @Ebonic Plague

The dialogue would not save this movie. It would make it more boring then it already was...It was supposed to be the goat comic book flick. It whiffed it.

Should've been a batman movie. Some good stuff there.

If you search through the past 5-10 pages we discussed everything

The movie was really not hard to follow... At all

Things made more sense the longer the movie went on... The more it picked up the pace the more you understood that this was planned from the beginning.

The reveals were understandable.. Since Lex been on top of the Metahuman game since MOS. only thing it was supposed to add was to the continuation of JL and they mention it later. They even showed another meta in the actual movie.

A few thoughts

Anyone have any issues with how 1 sided the Batman and Superman fight played out? I think the best part of the fight was when superman actually started getting his power back.. It definitely made things interesting.

I know a lot of people are down on Superman but I believe they just didn't give him much to work with in terms of dialogue . I don't think Henry Cavil is a bad actor, I just think Synder / Goyer have no clue how Superman is suppose to be. He suppose to be the opposite of batman. The Light side, a beaconing of hope. He suppose to smile. This Superman is just very dull and depressing in nearly every scene we see him in. I honestly believe that the people who made this movie do not like Superman. Its painfully obvious. I just don't see someone (Synder) who is supposedly a fan would characterize Superman so dull. Its really not difficult to get Superman character correct.

I also would have love to see more dialogue from Batman and Superman. They barely spoke with each other. The few scene they did have together were great. There was so much potential for more.

Eisenberg was fine . But like others have mention, he definitely should have been cast as another villain.

Marvel got the juice :yeshrug:

DC played its cards wrong by trying to play catch up instead of letting the process happen naturally.

They tried to go from Iron Man to Avengers.

Now with that said....the only "good movies" from that period of time were Iron Man and Avengers. The rest were just ok at best. However, as @BelowTheMasonDixon warned us....seeing those characters from others movies come together just made it all the more better. The movie was already dope, but it had characters fans were invested in for a couple movies. :ehh:'

Had some major hits in CAWS and GOTG.

Now Marvel is in their groove, Civil War, Black Panther, Spider Man, shyt is a good a place. :ehh:

DC focus probably should have been on fixing Superman and developing other characters in their own films. :francis:

Just gotta bounce back like Vick did. :wow::myman:

this is wrong, I wish people would stop saying this shyt...DC followed the comics, just like marvel followed the comics...in DC, superman was the first world known super being, even though others existed, the rest were myths/legends and only locally known, including batman....after superman, the rest started showing themselves to the world....so it makes sense after MoS, others would show their face/start being known...to further illustrate this, DC literally says this in the first 10-20 secs of the SS trailer:

gen: rumor is some of them have abilities
waller: yes, the things I've seen....it's like superman was some kinda of beacon for the rest to creep from the shadows..

anyway, in marvel, they didn't have super beings just sitting around waiting to be known, they didn't exist..it took something to create them (accident/experiment/space travel/etc)...since that something was individual and happened at different times, eras, locations, etc.; marvel went with origin stories...just like they are doing in the movies....
