C'mon breh...that Civil War shyt was tacked on like a mofo... Still a good scene, but if you call that great execution...It's a good moment but it comes down to execution. Snyder isn't a guy who grasp emotion like that lol. at least not lately. It's an emotional character beat that needs a director who understands that. Like you said, show him dealing with that more or make it a bigger part of what he's dealing with and it hits better. It's a good moment if you isolate it. It's a perfect moment for batman. But as a part of the whole, it feels meh because of everything that came before it or didn't come before it. It's clearly foreshadowed and I don't think anyone missed that unless they're stupid or blind, but it's about execution. Both civil war and this flick dealt with parental grief but it plays out better in one because it's clearly a part of one characters journey whereas with the other it's like "is this a part of his journey or just bruce's normal moping around about his parents?" And it's messed up because he has a great arc in this movie. Going from being this crazed vigilante who's not even a good man anymore to going back to being a good dude because he's realized what he's become and at what costs and that he's become a version of joe chill. That's good shyt but it just fell flat like my man @Atsym Sknyfs said
