Someone would have to dig up the exact quote but I could've swore Feige said they aren't doing any more long ass arcs.
There will be arcs but not like what they did in the last decade. Where it's 20+ movies leading to a finale. That's some once-in-a-lifetime shyt.
They'll probably do mini-arcs like 4-5 movies deep. Not saying this makes "Annihilation" or "Secret Wars" or anything impossible....but it ain't gonna be 10+ movies leading up to it. Which is better to me anyway.

Yeah, man. I know people like to crack jokes, but there's never been anything like this before, and there probably won't be ever again. It's unsustainable. The fact that Feige was able to pull this off over the course of 22 movies with 15 different directors, and only recast one major or supporting character is absolutely insane.
There is absolutely no way they manage to pull something like that off twice. If anything, since there are so many franchises within the MCU, storylines will likely be the length of each phase, and I can easily see production shifting so that each franchise gets assigned a "phase" schedule.
