I don’t know where this movie will end..... but so far it’s overachieving what even the main detractors and haters were anticipating.

I just think it's a combination of expectations and timing.

CM was supposed to come out before infinity war so by the time you see the end credit with Fury, you already know where he got it from and who captain marvel was. And audiences were supposed to go . Instead people were when they saw the captain marvel logo in the pager.

This foreshadowing end credits technique was done in phase one. It hasn't been done since.

So you have infinity war and now people are like who the fukk is captain marvel

They are expecting a mind blowing spectical when in actuality it's a damn origin movie with minimum action, and she doesn't even know how to use the full potential of her powers yet.

nikkas saying she's over powered when there was nobody in her level in the damn movie. The kree had to mindfukk her one use technological restraints just to hold her true powers back.

But I digress

As long as Marvel steps its villain game up CM will thrive.

Seems like something happens to Captain Marvel when they attempt to go after Thanos during the beginning part of the film.They get the brakes beat off em & he probably depowers CM.Or probably trapped her azz in the Soul Stone

I think it's too late for that. They seemed to be setting it up with the end scene of The Avengers but then they made him an environmental conservationist in Infinity War. Plus I don't think they want to confuse audiences by having multiple personifications of death in their cinematic universe.

Besides, Thanos simpin for a skeleton 24/7 would NOT come off well on screen. I'm glad they didn't went that direction to be honest.

Thats the og cast. Rhodey wasnt in avegers 1 but Fury was. Shouldve kept fury as a part of this story and put him on the cover.
