Again, I'm not saying Kidd is dead, just that he's done as a a major player. The difference between now and before is that we're in the Final Saga so there's no need to save characters for future arcs. There's not going to be another Impel Down. It's coming down to the wire.

Law is a different story because he's a D and also has a plot-relevant DF. So I could see him still being important to the story after the BB fight.


But I truly think it's a wrap for Midd when the narrator gets involved Oda usually means business.

Yeah I was not implying that Kid was dead either, it's known that Oda kills characters very rarely at this point. But I'm saying this is probably not end of the line for Kid in the story. The fact that we're in the final saga doesn't mean anything to me because Oda takes his time when writing this manga, even Egghead arc who we thought to be a short transition arc seems on the way to be a bigger arc, it looks like we aren't that close to the end still.

Final sagas can go on for years like in Naruto and Bleach so I think Oda will have time to reintroduce some characters I expect it at least.

Capone's got one of the most useful DF's to command a fleet too. It's an interesting idea that I'd never even thought of.

The next gen of Marines could be really dope. Running with Law, Coby, Drake in high spots. That's if they survive BB's hostage situation. I'm high-key hoping Coby is the BB ship that just pulled up to Egghead. Idk why...maybe Aokiji really is a double-agent and this will be his way of getting Coby free...gimme any excuse really.

I actually think that this arc might lead to the BB/Strawhat/Marine war.

Literally the marines are all over the place. BB was seen fighting Coby and Law, and now he pulled up on Strawhat.

There isn’t a real big bad this arc either…. So why not have it be Blackbeard and maybe Vegapunk can explain how he has two devil fruits.

Honestly I hope we get a better explanation of how these Vegapunk satellites work

It's obviously not like the Six Paths of Pain where it was just Nagato controlling dead bodies. They all seem to have their own personalities and motives considering they can betray each other. And it doesn't seem like they're completely robots either since some of them look completely human (Lilith) and even eat (York) which robots shouldn't need to do.

So I'm curious as to how this works, they basically just seem like separate characters rather than Vegapunk avatars. Like are they bioandroids that the original Vegapunk grew in a lab somewhere (like Cell)? Or actual people that he recruited to be his satellites and modified (kind of like 17 and 18)? I'm not sure. In particular I'm wondering if the Vegapunk satellites would still survive even if the old man died. Considering the betrayal I guess so.

Maybe, but if we're keeping it 100 he already had a much, much better performance against BB than Kid did against Shanks.

Plus he didn't start the fight. And he's an ex-Warlord. So even if Law loses he'll still have some credibility in the pirate streets unlike Midd.

This doesn't seem like Oda style though. He likes to hype things up but he also likes bringing back character who we thought would no longer be relevant after a crushing defeat. Kid is part of the new generation like Law and Oda is too attached to his characters to just kill them off in one shot or offscreen, especially these two that he wrote to at least compete with the big pirates unlike other supernovas. Oda brought back characters that were way less relevant than them in the story so it would be very surprising for him to write Kid and Law forever just like that.

A ship can be repaired like the straw hats did as for the poneglyphs to be honest Luffy is the only one to have an advantage anyway since he has the last person alive capable of reading them in his crew. I don't know what Shanks and the others are going to do with them, this shyt is already rigged from the start .

Not necessarily repaired, they can recreate it. Oda will find a way but I'm sure he doesn't intend on finishing Kid story here. This is the same guy who has a hard time killing off even tertiary characters
