Yall must be new to One Piece at least half of those characters are obviously still alive

I would bet that half of them are alive and still running, even the cp0 agent Kaido killed is apparently still alive

And we still had death fake outs with Pound on Whole Cake island and with Kinemon, Kiku, Hyogoro on Onigashima. Kaido basically killed no one despite handing out Ls left and right in the war .

Kidd was one of my favorites but he done watching on the sidelines hating wishing he was in the club. This what happens when you puff your chest up and think you beat a Emperor head on. nikka thought he was 2018 Bron thinking he about to carry. Dummy if you didn't noticed, when they tried to take Big Mom out before Kaido on cake island they had a PLAN. Even before they took on Kaido they had a PLAN.

Even if Law loses next chapter, he actually put up a great fight against Blackbeard, in a fight he wasn't even expecting, unlike Kid who got one-shotted in a fight he provoked. If he goes out he can say he at least got his hits in and made Teach work for it.

They've addressed this on YT and Reddit ad nauseam but people's irrational hatred or disdain for Kidd is the result of Oda's bad writing. Kidd was the only Supernova that he'd planned out ahead of time, his own words. He was created as a clear rival for Luffy, his own words. He then goes on to do absolutely nothing with him of note until Wano, by which time everyone else outside the SH, especially Law, has had extensive character development.

He gets minimal development and then placed in a team with his much better developed counterpart in Law and picks up a big W but it's hollow AF because most people don't care because they don't even know who he is. Past, motivation, crew chemistry all left blank and the only origin story he has is given in a random SBS most people don't even know about. He laid huge expectations on this character and then left him out to dry, a whole ass NPC.

He is the first character to cause Shanks visible distress in a combat situation and forced him to actually exert himself, again for the first time and none of that matters because Oda dropped the ball. Man was basically written to be stunted on because nobody would be impressed by Shanks doing that to a Barto or Buggy.

-Sword squad vs Blackbeard Pirates.
-The Blackbeard Pirates present are Shiryu, Vasco Shot, Pizarro and Wolf. And we have their fruits.
-Sword Squad, Hibari, Prince Gross and Kujaku (Tsuru's granddaughter).
-The bounty on Koby's head is 5 stars, worth 500 million, for his fame.
-In a short flashback, Blackbeard kidnaps Koby to negotiate with the World Government, to make Hachinoyu Pirate Island official and under his control. Kuzan explained that the Sword Faction could not be negotiated with.
-We see Sword Squad powers, Devil Fruits and more. Hibari is a skilled sniper and uses a Vegapunk weapon, Prince Gross has the Mud/Clay fruit, Kujaku has the Whip fruit.
-In the end, Garp joins the rest and destroys buildings with his fists and haki.
