This committee needs to get rolling then if they have a year. The election is next year, and I need to see progress to help with the final decision of my vote.

If this committee doesn’t even form until after the year or after November, then I’ll know exactly what’s up. Clocks ticking...

My Dad says he understands the importance of Reparations.

Just had a conversation about reparations with my Dad. I was telling him about ADOS leveraging our vote. Because politics is an exchange. Democrats can't win without us. So if the Democratic Nominee think reparations is feasible.

We can leave the country with the choice of Reparations or Trump.

He said that doesn't matter, we need to get Trump out of office. We have to vote for Biden.

I explained biden is just as racist. Explained his involvement with the crime bill. He said he didn't believe me and we have to vote for who ever gets trump out of office.

Prior to that I asked Him for 200 because I am short on rent. Then he's these taxes killed him now that he has no depents. (My 5 siblings are all adults now )He has to sell the house. Now we're all college graduates. 3 of my brothers still live at home because NY is too expensive and are helping with the rent.

They still should be voted out. The CBC’s defense of Joe Biden’s recent comments are unforgivable. We’ll see how long it takes for this bill to pass though. If the CBC continues to help other groups with nothing in return that’s a problem.

Problematic?!?:beli: Because ADOS folks is tired of hearing the same ole bullshyt from the old guard and comfortable negroes like Mark Lamont Hill who's not aggressive at all...
It's only problematic because #ADOS is rocking the boat for everyone else and they getting irritated because they not gonna get a slice.

Understand how this will work legislatively. First hr 40 has to pass the house, then the senate, then the president has to sign it. Then the commission will be created.

The democratic house will probably pass this prior to 2020 BUT it doesn’t have a chance in the senate due to there being a republican majority. Even if it passes the senate, you think Trump will sign this bill?

For the commission to be created you will need a democratic majority in the senate AND a democratic president to sign it so the earliest the commission can get started is 2020.

This is why I am critical of the #ados movement and it’s leaders because they never explain how we can get this stuff passed legislatively. There entire focus has been on shytting on Democrats who have supported hr 40 from the get go while never addressing the elephant in the room — which is that we are going to have to get republicans out of power and need a democratic senate and president for any of this to have a chance.

The focus should be on getting a majority in the senate and presidency in 2020 but we’ve spent much of the energy shytting on things that have NOTHING to do with getting this bill passed like immigrants, Pan Africanism, etc.

Not true. Some Democrats, yes. But seeing as neither Clinton nor Obama had HR 40 passed and Biden pretty much black folk to kick rocks on the whole idea, we shouldn't go giving credit to the Dems as a whole where it isn't due.

Obama and Clinton are not in the house though. The house dems had this bill tee’d up as soon as they took power after the 2018 midterms and yet we still spent most of the time complaining about them while completely ignoring the fact that they were already on the side of supporting hr 40 and it’s the SENATE that will be the biggest problem since the republicans have control there and get to decide which bills to vote on. Has ANY energy been spent by the loudest ADOS leaders calling for expanding reparations support in the senate by ousting republican power? No.

As long as Mitch McConnell is the majority leader of the senate no reparations or any other legislative progress for black people will EVER be accomplished.

Clinton and Obama had House and Senate majorities when they were in office.

Not going to talk about Clinton because that was 30 years ago but for Obama, he only had house and filibuster proof senate majorities for FOUR MONTHS in which he saved the auto industry, passed Obamacare, and got us out of recession by passing 2 stimulus packages after the economy imploded the last two years of bush’s tenure:
