But the beatty situation...hypebeast...absolute hypebeast...
Yeah, I prolly have a different position on homosexuality than you do, but I ain't even at all confident in what I understand about it and I ain't going to go around hating on people because they disagree with me. In this case, the actually relevant point is that a movie can be a good movie or a poor movie regardless of the fact there's a gay person in it, because shyt, there's gay people in life and they got their stories. I'm happy for all the people involved in making it.
Now watch me see it some day and find out it's all demonic.
Yo, man, caught me slipping. Can't be fukking drinking shyt and reading the forum at the same time.
Are you not interested because of the gay part?
The thing is, you shouldn't even need to relate to a story directly to appreciate it. I don't have any openly gay male friends in my immediate circle. Acquaintances? Sure; but no one who is a homie. But if you're worldly enough and understanding of the complexity of humanity, the story should resonate. As for being caught up in being "black enough," I often think that's overstated and it's usually adolescent stuff that's more based on "being cool." Black = cool stuff. Lame stuff = "white boy shyt," for lack of a better term. It's just phraseology. I love that more black stories are being told on TV and in film. And everyone should. I think the lack of diversity of black political voices is much more of an issue than this in film tbh. These guys are just crabs. But to say that no black people care about a universally loved film like Back to the Future was one of the dumbest things I've ever heard. There are certain things that EVERYONE watched. It was so absurd I was surprised that you dignified it.Thanks breh. Appreciate that. We normally have that type of discussion in the film room man. Normally. Whenever we're not talking comic book shyt. The problem in this place though is that if you stick up for a movie like moonlight then the assumption is your gay lol since someone actually negged me for it and called me a faq, so that was hilarious and shortsighted. In reality, you can stick up for it as a great movie created by a black man from a writing standpoint and a directorial standpoint and he should be lauded by that. You don't need to be gay to appreciate any of that. My opinions on homosexuality come from being friends with gay men and women and just being like "damn, these cats deserve the same type of shyt that I do and I couldn't imagine having an issue with a friend of mine about something so personal" and i also believe that we as black people get so caught up in being "black enough" and put definitions on what being black is and while it can be positive, it can also be incredibly negative and divisive

Yea,My feeling is: if you're that insecure about your heterosexuality, perhaps you ain't that straight.
This shyt isn't even theory; I've seen it happen in real life.
You need to ask yourself why it bothers you so much.Yes. I don't like it . Doesn't mean I'm hating

Lol that's fukked upWarren had the wrong envelope. He has the lead actress envelope told Faye to read it she read la la land because the lead actress envelope reads "Emma stone for la la land" and then all the producers and cast is on the stage giving speeches and the whole 9 only for Warren or someone to tell everyone it was moonlight and he had the wrong envelope. Then the producer says they didn't win. Moonlight is the winner then assures them it's not a joke
thats the crux of it.If you think media can make you gay you probs not as straight as you think you are.
I'm an optimist
The movie really doesn't display much gay stuff outside of one scene. Its actually about more than just that.thats the crux of it.
I think a lot of these dudes have secret desires they want to suppress with their hate.
Ironically, that is what Moonlight touches on, lol.
Great fukking movie. Didn't like it?
Nah, zootopia is a coo flick but no.Also Zootopia not getting a nom for Best Picture is dumb.
