I call bullshyt. People (black and white) only pull this 'agenda' shyt when a straight white male doesn't win the award. You're so used to straight white males winning that if they don't win, you think something is up. That brainwashing is strong. Moonlight is an incredible movie. It transcended race, sexuality, and gender. People were touched coming out of that movie, and the actors acted their ass off. And now you have black folks talking about an agenda. It's sickening. If the academy has an agenda please explain to us what message they were trying to send when when No Country for Old Men won? The Departed? American Beauty? Titanic? The fukking English Patient? Braveheart?

How the fukk are you presenting the award for BEST PICTURE, get handed a card that clealry reads BEST ACTRESS and read it anyway...
Beatty did the right thing, the only thing I would have done differently is show the crowd I was handed the wrong card...Still would have caused confusion but not as bad as presenting the award to the wrong film crew and then taking it away from them...
Don't forget the ever controversial Annie hall or forest gump. Oh and the hurt locker.

I literally saw the conspiracy theories shoot up immediately after La la land won... Some by posters here...
Then, when the error was corrected and Moonlight won, the conspiracy theorists adjusted...
shyt is comical at this point and shows me that no matter what... People on all sides will continue to be riddled with tunnel vision so their narrative survives...

I've always wondered how pleasurable it would be to debunk a person's conspiracy theories or believed stereotypes about Black people to their face. The racists that I've been able to do that to literally just block it out of their mind.
Seeing the way no one came out and was like, "Damn, yea, yall, I need to reevaluate how quick I am to convict this or that as being an agenda about blah blah blah" shows me that NO MATTER WHAT you prove... people are going to be ignorant scumbags.
Think about what it means to be in your living room, kids around and saying a whole bunch of conspiracy theories in front of your kids... but not correct your viewpoint when shyt is shown to be false less than 2 minutes later... When you think about it...shyt is disturbing as fukk.
