Of course not but it still makes no sense. If it's the Best Picture, screenplay and Director then obvious it has to take an acting award home, at the very least one. It's inconsistency to say a movie is the best in all those categories but no actors. Same ish happen with "Slumdog", those Indian actors got no love.

Here's the thing. though, all that doesn't matter if Oprah did something more then to rely on her name for promotion. She has more influence and money then everyone else in that room. She should could done more. Like not start after Toronto.

No campaign would've given Selma the Oscar breh...its deeper than that; the movie, the director, etc. it was never gonna win

Eddie won cause they wanted to honor Stephen Hawking's Legacy, let's keep it 100%. It's funny how they could nominate this but my Boy David who bodied the MLK role couldn't even get a nod. Please.

And it's happened with other movies breh. Godfather won best picture best actor and best screenplay but no love for the director. The Sting won best picture, best director and best screenplay but no love for any of the actors

Yep, everyone laughed at "Tropic Thunder" joke about it but it's true. With that said, "Rainman, Forrest Gump" are great performances. I'm not saying Eddie didn't do good but if any historical performance was going to win it should of been David and MLK. Keaton got robbed period, this was his moment for his under-rated career. This reminds me of when they did Bill Murray dirty for "Lost in Translation".

And that's completely fair. We have to remember those confessionals are only from 10 people and don't tell the entire story. Call me an optimist I always feel there is a chance to change peoples minds.
