bob costas needs to retire. he just said the phillies beat the mets in the playoffs last year and when corrected insisted he was right.

In the 90s I couldn’t understand why people didn’t like Bob Costas.

Now I find him insufferable. Even when I agree with him on something, he just has a way of coming across so smug.

Not to mention my biggest issue with his broadcasts: he never shuts up. You gotta let the game breathe. Every second doesn’t need to be filled with talking.

It’s a long season but if Ohtani doesn’t go on a tear, this could be the MVP season for Corbin Carroll or Fernando Tatis.

Nice bounce back for Cade Povich. He's been getting slaughtered this season. But went 6, struck out 5, only allowed 1 run on 4 hits. Need him to have more outings like this. He still a backend rotation projection, but need him to be a solid 4/5 to help buoy this trash ass rotation.

Skenes and Cruz both going to get them some hauls. No way they keep both. Until it doesn't happen, I'm convinced Skenes is going to the yankees either by trade or via free agency. Cruz I could definitely see getting traded to the Giants/Guardians

He's hitting better on the road than at home so far this season.

I get your point but this start is such an extreme outlier that I'd still be shocked if someone offered him more than the 6/$170 Detroit did. Although, if he still got that deal, he got an extra 40 this year.

To be honest,

If Ohtani isn’t MVP, then it’s gonna likely be Tatis or Carroll.

And if it’s not those guys, then @god shamgod boy Pete Crow-Armstrong would have a strong case if he remains hot. Because his defensive value at CF would be a massive differentiator.
