Mets apparently were interested in Snell, but the Giants not only wanted the Mets to foot the whole bill, they wanted 3-4 of the Mets top prospects too

Yeah that Snell trade wasn't gonna happen once he started pitching better. Nobody was gonna give up much for a pitcher who can opt out after this year and you assume probably will. And i don't think any team really feels like they are at that good where he would put them over the top. He would help anyone, but I don't see him as the missing piece between anyone's playoff success
