I like this setup. Japs stay on the West Coast, DR/PR boys stay on the East and most importantly the Yankees don't get shyt. Dodgers will take any Mexicans that make it as well :ehh:
You can have the MexiCali's...
We get the rest of the Caribbean tho

I really don't care what the Braves do in free agency. I just wanna see Ronald Acuña Jr stay healthy next season and for the rest of his career. He's must see TV!
:mjcry:
Dudes about to hold out for a new contract. He feels bamboozled by that cheap ass organization.

And yea I made that up, but a man can try to speak shyt into existence. :birdman:

Looks like Toronto is pulling the same play the Nats did with Soto.

Make an offer knowing player will reject said offer, player is going into free agency by any means necessary, leak the offer so you can let everyone know you "tried something", and at some point trade player for prospects.

I wouldn't be surprised if Vlad is moved at the deadline, according to Baseball Reference he still with Toronto for the 2025 season.

I wouldn't want Vladimir Guerrero Jr on a long term contract.

That guy hits way too many ground balls.
If there's a guy who's hitting profile is screaming at an early 30s decline, it's Vlad's.

Kid had a monster 2nd half on the strength of a .375 BABIP after the break.
A terrible defender who doesn't really hit a ton of HRs and hits hard grounders is not the man I want to pay 400M to.

I'll say this -- in the 2nd half he did start elevating the ball a lot more. If this continues in 2025, I'm willing to change my opinion on Vlad. But I think teams would be smart to wait until mid-season to consider trading for him.

I get what you're saying about the long term deal. He's only gonna be 26 when the season starts. No reason to think he can't improve still either.

The last 4 years he's put up 30, 26, 32, and 48 home runs. That's not bad.

Without diving into the advanced stuff like you, his numbers look very similar to Bryce Harper's early in his career. Pretty up and down with a couple great seasons mixed in there.
