I think a tweet was out there that nobody wants Anthony Rizzo or Alex Verdugo...and they were both on a World Series team last year.

When you phrase it that way it sounds crazy.
But those guys aren't that good. Still, you'd think somebody would take a shot at them.

He knows what we all know except he knows it better

Like I've said it's about to get really spooky for that team, he's trying to swing for the fences and pad the blow the best he can.

It's really crazy the difference a good team owner can make, almost doesn't even matter who the players are at that point. Padres had shyt jumping for a little bit there, brought the browns back and added the pink & green, had a good team before Soto then got him. It was looking dire for a couple minutes for Dodgers brehs, now look.

Ohtani, Soto, Judge etc doesn't matter if there's turmoil or winning ain't near the top of the list for an owner. And apparently the Padres weren't completely owned by Peter, he had the most shares but also knew how to pull strings he needed from the other owners to make things happen. Imagine that going forward with a wife that doesn't know shyt and a family that wants to own more than they want to win

There is a workable trade that could happen. But giving up Westburg who has like 5 years of team control ain't it. For a rental of Cease at that.

:camby:

I'm also not that high on Cease and think he would get torched at Camden. That said, the O's need to bolster the rotation. So they need to stay at the table.

I can't find it but there was an instagram post that the Angels' acquisitions would form a monster lineup if it was 2019.

The stats of Mike Trout, Anthony Rendon, Yoan Moncada and some other guy in 2019 were elite, lol.

Oh, Jorge Soler. That was the other guy.

It stinks because I want the Pirates to be good. So much talent has come out of that franchise over the years.

A smart team would give skeins an extension now that covers his arbitration years and a year after, but it's the Pirates so I'm sure he'll be traded before then.

Teams like the Pirates are why a floor would be more effective than a cap.
Give him a contract similar to what the Braves gave Spencer Strider.

So I was watching this video on Juan Gonzalez and his 1996 MVP, and it's crazy how much weight they used to put on your team making the playoffs.

Every other player in the top 5 had a higher WAR and some had better numbers.

Mo Vaughn had over 200 hits and didn't get a single first place vote, sheesh.

Should have gone to Arod or Griffey as far as I'm concerned.
