Miami made 295 million in one year but has next to no interest in free agency, they've only got 58 mil tied down for next year. What's a salary cap going to do for them? A reliever just signed a deal worth more than all their players combined & 14 mil to spare, what do they plan on doing with the other 180 mill in tax space they have? Nothing.
Cubs owner made 508 mil and said just this weekend he's about wanting to "break even" each season, this is Chicago we're talking about not Kansas City lmao. Team salary is only 170ish, where's the other hundreds of m's going
Yankees make 679 million in one year but are too poor to pay Soto. Had them wiping sweat off their foreheads when he took the Mets deal, then Yankee fans followed suit talking about they're glad he didn't sign like it's their money and they didn't spend the last year begging & praying he'd stay
This offseason for LA (really the last 2 years) have been OD. But the Dodgers ODing is putting the spotlight on teams and showing they're not doing nearly much as they want people to think to try and win
