Could have been a huge moment for hip-hop to squash the beef on stage at the Grammys for Takeoff. :unimpressed: Instead Quavo still in his feelings over a bytch.

I’ve met Offset before. Judging by his overall shytty attitude and lack situational awareness i’m willing to bet whatever led to their feud is 100% HIS fault

if the TMZ report is to be taken as true, it specifically said Quavo started it

I was largely upset with the 50 years of hip hop performance. Questlove curated it but I'm sure he was limited by the powers that be.

I'm angry because Kool Keith, Kool G Rap and Krs One were not included. Also no underground artists from 1996-2022.

That being said Melle Mel flexing like a body builder at the end showcased the power of strength and longevity in hip hop culture.

Because it's hard for anyone to be that fit physically at that age - especially rappers who die before 50.

So Melle Mel is the G.o.a.t of that night for me.

Listening to a rap song or watching a rap video gives me more inspiration than what the Grammys did last night.

Jay doing that verse at the Grammy's is legendary, that's a career high verse, and to THAT crowd, is just wow.

He's spitting straight dope boy drug shyt trafficking bars, with his former partners in crime, now all execs, at the GRAMMYS.

That's one of Jay's best verses, iconic, triumphant, defiant, reflective, insightful.

pushing fenty like fentanyl in the midst of the opiod crisis must have been to much lol, still a crazy line to throw at that crowds on national TV, he subtly shifted it, to "pushing fent NOT fentanyl"

"if those are drug lords, than who are we then"

"back and forth on this turn pike really took a toll on him"

"never know how this could go, me and Biggs probably got too big if they don't book that load"

That verse speaks to me in a way that few do.

They left out a lot of important artists in hip hop

No NWA
No Eminem
No Nas
They didn't include a Tupac or Biggie tribute

They were only letting people do half a verse, there is no way they could have fit anymore artist in.

I didn't even think of those, but you're right.

We all know the top loses touch. But damn.

Mel represented the truth at least. The Bronx. Thank God for that.

Dre's speech was inspirational but I lost respect for him after a while and his inactivity.

1992 Dre was a complete Menace. We NEEDED that Dre the whole time!

But it's like he's so great but fearful of mistakes.

I wish he would have just pushed through and dropped anything all those years.

Also, I believe him quitting rapping - was a mistake. He had Tim Dog energy on the mic. Or crazier.

That's okay. I get the small verses.

I'm upset because they didn't bring in Kool Keith, G Rap and Krs One.

They constantly get pushed to the side. Rakim was cool - but he always gets shine.

They never put the other three in.

The fukk is wrong with the powers that be?!!
