Hold up, there’s a mountain west network?
Goldman Sachs ran an ad including Auburn (the kicker) and Alabama’s kicker
We’re definitely approaching a point, with the declining revenue for TV and rising costs for colleges, where there’s going to need to be a hard reset or it’s going to be a ton of casualties along the way. This clock rule is already a scam. Basically it was less plays but they replaced the time with more commercials. So it's almost 55min of commercials now with actual game time (of live plays) at about 57min.
This is sad...but it's kinda the fault of these mega conference media deals. They gotta get money to pay more bc of those deals so that means more commercials and higher cable /streaming cost.

If they were serious about changing the game time they'd change down by knee to down by contact. That alone would increase scoring and keep those long pass plays going, reducing open field clock-stops.Avg # of plays per team went down by one. They lied to us
Same for the KU game I went to. An absurd number of times the man in the red polo was out on the field for a game that was on ESPN+Yea I was at a game this wknd and the stops for commercial breaks seemed longer and more of them
Change the fukkin play clock from 40 secs to 25 or 30. A team can literally run 3 plays in 2 minutesIf they were serious about changing the game time they'd change down by knee to down by contact. That alone would increase scoring and keep those long pass plays going, reducing open field clock-stops.
But just like everything else with this sport, it's a lie.

It's worse because we're mostly streaming including ESPN or Fox app, and you can't just hit last channel and catch 3 plays of another game...you're stuck getting insurance and medicine and Dr pepper adsSomething has to be done about the commercial breaks tho...it's getting ridiculous.
There was a pivotal interception during the FSU/LSU game that was completely missed b/c the broadcast was on another lengthy commercial break after Brian Kelly called a timeout.
Game was still close at this time frame, IIRC LSU had the ball on third down in FSU territory, BK calls a TO, commercial break, play resumes and it's 1st down FSU and FSU was already at the line ready to snap the ball.
But hey at least I got to see Jake from State Farm's whack ass chin strap beard for the 178th time during the broadcast...
Youtube Multiview FTW!!!!!!!It's worse because we're mostly streaming including ESPN or Fox app, and you can't just hit last channel and catch 3 plays of another game...you're stuck getting insurance and medicine and Dr pepper ads

But even that sucks when all 4 games are on commercial break at the same time.
