I find it interesting that the two best teams in the country are playing 2012 type ball.
It's crazy this year that type of football is just dominating even in the NFL...
On a local high school level, I've seen the spread teams get shut down but the teams are putting up 400 rushing yards in a game and winning...
it is interesting because the valuation of RBs has not increased, likely because the view that a 'replacement level RB' can do as good as all but the BEST rbs, but the offenses are more balanced and a typical (classic) pro offense has proven to be effective in this new era.
Personally, the LACK of success of the air raid, and of MOST spread teams made me never favor those offenses. IMO, the reason is because you end up spending so much recruiting capital on your necessary 3 five star WRs and mobile QBs, rather than spending that capital on dogs in the trenches, and cornerbacks. This is anecdotal by my own observation
