That’s kind of always been harbaughI find it interesting that the two best teams in the country are playing 2012 type ball.
Kirby doesn’t have the wrs this year, but they find ways to get them two twin towers the ball, and the all heart all star lad, but he knew he could not just pound the rock into a championship, you have to put points on the board and Nick knew that, which is why he switched up
Kids are changing, but it’s not a ton of good 300 plus kids, (which is why coaches came up with the spread, add to the fact more kids are athletic so sticking them at wr is adventitious to the offense) how many schools have a solid O-line id be willing to bet less than 10, closer to 5 or less. Also keep in mind the nfl has changed with so many wrs that are good, you can go 3-4 wide more, you can’t have that 6’3 260 lbs, lb trying to cover that te with 4.4 speed or rb that’s 4.3, or cover space, lbs are 5’11-6’3 230 and lighter to cover more spread and faster offenses, those old lbs are rush ends or edge rushers. i don’t think the scale tipped it’s just things modernizing and moving forward, using what’s out there remember running a pro style offense used to be what coaches used to recruit, now it’s dual threat,( side note, how many black qbs would have lasted longer now that it’s a duel threat league)Because the scales tipped TOO FAR in one direction (read option/spread). Made dominating the trenches not as important leading to "softer" linemen. Those teams that prioritize the trenches have a mismatch vs those that don't and you see what you see with UGA and Michigan. There's something with just punishing people up front and daring you to stop it. Test that manhood. And since many schools have gotten away from that physicality, those that embrace it have an edge.
We Craig you Debo and you got knocked tf outIm a get up like Craig did in Friday.
The only 1:1 offense that could challenge uga because of elite 5 stars, i remember their one edge rusher went out and the number one Lb from the previous class replaced him, not many teams can do thatI don’t know about this
UGA defense was better in the trenches last year and got absolutely torched when they finally played a good offense
OSU been soft with a bad defense for a while now
OSU isn’t soft, it’s what happens when you don’t have the bosa bros or chase on your line, those were elite recruits, those effect the defense, they switched up defenses and were giving up 3 yards or less a run, (smh @smitty22 got me defending these chumps) That’s not a soft team, the fukkin mlb was playing with two broken thumbs, half you nikkas would call out sick if you have a stuffy nose, our linemen are really good and cohesive that helps a lot but the first half we had 10 yards rushing maybe less
See above, i agree with the rest of your statementYeah, OSU has to get tougher in the trenches. That can't be denied now.
Even though Bama has more spread elements, yall still recruit the trenches. It was more of an even battle because of that vs UGA.
Losing Metchie and Jamison in back to back games was what did yall in (still incredible how you lose BOTH of your stud wide receivers vs the same team).
I think you start with conference champs, then record, I’m glad my brother sleeps gamecocks wine against Tennessee but i think if they play best of three i think Tennessee wins, but it’s a one chance thing and it is what it is, you get less consideration if you drop one, but some people’s schedules get inflated due to ranking, ole miss was ranked high and dropped a cluncker to Arkansas and miss st, so who are they ? The 9 win team or the team that got beat the last two weeks ??So should the playoffs be based more on "deserving" or the "best team(s)"
USC and TCU deserve to make it but we agree they're not better than Bama and OSU.....
