I mean, I don't dislike Stroman and all, but he's under less years of control and would still have to put up with our crappy defense.
Pretty sure BA had our farm at 26th out of 30 teams btw. There are some people that think this means nothing but uhhh yea I'm not for this dumb ass trade scenario.

Because you need a ML ready pitcher if you ship Syndergaard off. The Mets have no SP depth after deGrom and Matz. You can somewhat remain competitive with Stroman, deGrom and Matz as opposed to Kay, deGrom and Matz. That's if they don't give the QO to Wheeler and find someone to replace Vargas. This is not a cut and dry deal. The Mets will ultimately spend more money to replace Noah than they would if they kept him. He's younger than Wheeler without the injury history and someone I would have liked to see on the roster had he been up for FA this season instead of next.
EDIT: If you trade for Stroman, you absolutely have to extend him before 2020 Spring Training as that is his walk year and you cannot come out of a foundational piece trade with nothing to show for it.
