I get trading Syndergaard but I don't know if it makes sense for us given our near future to sign Wheeler. I'm in full we gotta blow up what we have a bit.

What are we keeping him for? He is a diva and an underachiever. I wouldn't be mad, we can lose without him, he's not making a difference. Same goes for Wheeler and Matz. Our great rotation hasn't done anything for us since 2015 as far as wins and losses. Let's get a new design.

Nah I'm saying I get trading Syndergaard but should we really keep Wheeler as well? I think everyone needs to come to the realization that we're not going anywhere. This year was our going all in year that was a half assed attempt and it failed.

Yeah, I agree no need to keep Wheeler like he isn't some proven commodity.

I just don't trust the Mets to get any kind of return on Syndergaard. I know they'll botch this somehow.

A diva and underachiever because he's having a bad season? Jesus Christ. The Mets don't spend money. Who are they getting to replace him at 2? He and Jake are a legit 1-2 combo. You can trade Wheeler and re-sign him. Anthony Kay is not ready for the majors. His ERA is near 7 in AAA. You'll have more holes in the starting rotation than you do now.

It'll be just desserts for this fanbase if Noah not only regains his form elsewhere, but does so if MLB goes back to a pitcher friendly ball.

The starting pitching didn't lose them the season. The bullpen did. Flipping Syndergaard says you're not looking to compete next season. Only in baseball does the fanbase agree with trading proven talent for minor league players because the front office has brainwashed them this is better for the team. You bring him back, add complementary pieces and hope the pen reverses it's fortune.
