He asked for a personal catcher. That's a diva move. And look at last nite. He still stunk up the joint.
There are other pitchers in the league man. He can be replaced.
deGrom has a personal catcher. He's far from the only pitcher to do so. He would have only given up 3 ER last night if not for Dom's error in the outfield. He had a bad night so what? What other pitchers can throw like him and have youth on their side? Scherzer and Syndergaard have comparable stats through their first few seasons with Noah edging him out in the wins department. You give up on someone that early? Absurd.
Who is DeGrom's personal catcher? And before you answer look at the box score today.
No one scores on Smith's error if Noah doesn't walk two consecutive batters.
Dude every WS winner the entirety of both Scherzer and Noah's career did so without their assistance. Like I said, they can be replaced.
They forced the Cy Young winner to work with a catcher he doesn't want while mediocre Noah gets a personal catcher for what 6-7 consecutive starts? That makes no sense. What is the source for your information he is being forced to work with Ramos? Or did you just make that up.Nido. He's being forced to work with Ramos. I watched the game today from my desk. You want to be difficult, do so while talking to a brick wall. You're on ignore.
The injury ended Wheeler being traded. He's damaged goods.I'm not saying you have to trade Thor now but realistically, I don't see the Mets doing anything next year. I think you only trade him now if you think you are blown away. This winter or next July, I'd do it. I don't get trading Noah and extending Wheeler though. I say trade Wheeler.
How about trading him for a young minor league SP among other things? What's the point in trading Syndergaard? Do we have pitching in the minors that can replace him? Don't think so and I feel like we won't even get that much in return. He's 26 and can easily bounce back

It certainly didn't hurt his value and the Mets defense wasn't all that great earlier in the game.Wheeler didn't do anything to help his trade value.
