Yea you just said he lost credibility when people figured out he couldn't play OT. He's still the 4th best ranked OG and not far behind the other guards in the class. The highest ranked guard is 51st overall, guards don't get ranked like OT he was getting that 5 star hype as a junior b/c people thought he could play OTHe’s not a OT he’s a OG
That’s not true Wyatt Davis and Jamaree Slayer the top OG in their respective class stayed 5*. The only reason Kardell is still ranked high is because of the other ranking outlets. Barton Simmons has been drastically dropping him on all his ranking update.
None of the guards in this class are 5 stars. ESPN rankings are garbage and Rivals is alright but not near as thorough as 24/7. Don't know why Simmons or anyone else would have a vendetta against Thomas. A lot of their last rankings were based on the All American games/practices though and Thomas was getting dominated in the one on ones against elite DL. That's why they dropped him so far
So why Kardell #1 OG on Rivals but 20 OG in 247? They both went to the same camp to watch him
Not saying he's trash but he's not really an elite guard at this point. He's properly ranked imo a lot of people thought he would lose weight and become quicker but he hasn't done that yet. And Alfano is gonna be 3-4 DE so he'll be going against guards a good bit. Harrison looks like an NFL 4-3 DE already though
If his problem is weight than that’s a dumbass reason to drop him a good strength and conditioning program will fix that. Only reason you think he properly ranked is because you uninformed on how Simmons has handled his ranking. He should have lost weight already if he was serious about being great, you can't rank him based on assumptions. And even if he loses a lot of weight, his footwork and hands need a lot of work too. Alfano and Harrison were beating him with their hands/technique more than anything
You sound a cac. Kardell manually trained and manually works on his craft he doesn’t have the luxury of a S&C and coaching that other recruits had. Barton Simmons is an idiot he’s basically pinning his creditability on this kid but for what reason no one knows. He’s been pushing an agenda since he summer and obviously none of the other services followed suit.
