I watch full games and I've came away impressed with Evans defense. It does translate as does his length. So I can't completely agree. That said, his offensive game as you mention isn't at an NBA level yet. That doesn't mean it will not get there but it might not which is the truth. But guys who have plus plus defensive talent and the length and lateral quickness is extremely hard to find. Everyone wants the next Tony Allen but Allen could at least slash. Evans isn't good at anything on offense to me. He's a G-League player right now.

they probably figure his defense is good enough to play him now while they can work on his offense.

both very good points, but there are better players who are either similar defenders or much more advanced offensively that should be taken late first ahead of him who conversely can be taught better defense --> huerter, divincenzo, allen, robinson, thomas, frazier, milton, okogie, etc are clearly better prospects.

WCS is out the door in that scenario. He's in his walk year.

Mind you, Z-Bo and Skal are still there.
Z-Bo is probably their 6th man regardless if WCS is starting or not. I am still in the boat that they take Doncic or Porter Jr. Their need for a SF is much bigger than their need for a PF. Giles can play 4.

Of course the ATL
@Poitier @Frump @tremonthustler1 give me your honest assessment about Jaren Jackson Jr. @#1 pick and I are pretty much on the same page as not wanting him to the Hawks at #3, but I'd like to get some different opinions from non Hawks fans who follow prospects closely

And also what do y'all think about Bagley at #3? :lupe:
