You would think Mo Bust is going to be the next Anthony Davis according to the Coli. :mjlol:

I'm bookmarking this thread.

There's nothing about this dude game to warrant a Top 5 pick or potential NBA star.

I've seen too many nikkas like Mo Bust turnout to be trash.

nikkas love to hindsight past picks like they knew they was going to be bust. :duck:

Oh oh well he didn't have drive or he was a mental midget....

Thank GAWD Donnie Nelson doesn't think too highly of Mo Bust. :whew:

Stepien is awful and they try to say Gobert is both faster than Bamba(which is laughable) and that Gobert’s size advantage of 15 lbs makes the comp not work as well, ignoribg that Gobert is like 7 years older than Bamba.
They are just terrible internet scouts. 2003 level of nbadraft.net

I think he can be special. I keep saying, Giannis at center. He just has to become a lot more polished and put on some weight but the talent and ability is there. He can finish with either hand, doesnt have issues shooting from any level. You shouldn't give him space on the drive or he will put you on the poster and that's on top of the fact that he has elite potential on defense. Hes the only player in this draft who could be elite on both sides of the court.

There's nothing about his offensive game that says he's going to be elite. Either you have it or you don't. This is the same stuff people were and still saying about Frank Ntilikina. People are current posting recent videos of Ntilikina "Improving his offensive game". Yes his offensive game might improve but it will never be elite.

Mo Bust wouldn't have been a Top 5 pick in last year draft just like Frank Ntilikina. The so-called potentially good defensive player with a long wingspan project pick.

These same Coli brehs were telling me that Frank Ntilikina is going to be better than Dennis Smith Jr.

He has it. Hes just not polished. Can finish with either hand, good slasher in space as his handles are decent for his size. His issue is his first step is poor but his 2nd step is monstrous. Elite finisher. Teams struggled to defend him in the paint especially in the 2nd half of the season. He has a decent array of moves in the paint that he gets off with ease. His issue is his feel for the basket is a WIP. He has a lot of physical gifts and and excellent measurables and hes a very good athlete for his size. While he has a lot to work on and his weight isn't there yet, hes has on of the highest ceilings in this class

Nope, I just have the same concerns as the guy that wrote this article.

Is a Bet on Mo Bamba a Bet on Athletic Development? - The Stepien
This article said Bamba has trouble against explosive athletes with space to work. Who in the NBA doesn't have trouble against those players. And which big man can guard quick guards?
If the Mavs pick Bamba I'm gonna be excited as heck. We'll have someone who can protect the paint and force more mid range shots since.

Plus he has a solid frame and broad shoulders where he can put on weight. If he has the work ethic he's going to be good. Seeing Dirk and Barnes' work ethic was big for DSJ, he said that's what got him to stay in the gym. It's going to be the same with Bamba

JJJ has the highest ceiling of any player in the draft bc he doesn't actually know how to play yet

The hope is to mold him into a superstar based on his instincts, touch and measurables

JJJ is he reaches his ceiling could be an elite rim protector, the best shooting stretch big, and w/ added strength & development could be a strong rebounder, strong on ball defender, and score 20 w/ ease off of pnr & pick & pops

But again, we are not basing this off of what we see but rather what he can become if he matures & develops the way Greek is

I just hope he can develop into Larry Sanders with 3PT range. I dont see this 20 ppg potential. I barely see 14 ppg from him. Hes extremely uncoordinated, weak core strength, just doesnt move that well. He reminds me of Marvin Williams. If you are asking him to run and jump like Marvin did, you should be fine. If you are asking him to create his own offense, you might be in some epic trouble
