You would think Mo Bust is going to be the next Anthony Davis according to the Coli. :mjlol:

I'm bookmarking this thread.

There's nothing about this dude game to warrant a Top 5 pick or potential NBA star.

I've seen too many nikkas like Mo Bust turnout to be trash.

nikkas love to hindsight past picks like they knew they was going to be bust. :duck:

Oh oh well he didn't have drive or he was a mental midget....

Thank GAWD Donnie Nelson doesn't think too highly of Mo Bust. :whew:
Why do you hate Bamba so much? :dwillhuh:

I just hope he can develop into Larry Sanders with 3PT range. I dont see this 20 ppg potential. I barely see 14 ppg from him. Hes extremely uncoordinated, weak core strength, just doesnt move that well. He reminds me of Marvin Williams. If you are asking him to run and jump like Marvin did, you should be fine. If you are asking him to create his own offense, you might be in some epic trouble

He doesn’t know how to play yet. You have to base the projection on what he can become, not what he is. All we know now is that he’s mobile, has touch and can defend. You put a kid like him w/ an unselfish scoring G, he will explode. Most of his offense early on will be generated through playmaking of teammates. While he’s learning, and getting stronger, the hope is that he develops 2 or 3 go to moves. But touch like that for a kid w/ a 7’5 wingspan will have any GM salivating.

LOL, as someone who's been watching Basketball for ages, this kid is playing his game. He just lacks coordination, body control, and has a weak core which means he can be easily moved from his base. This is not as much an issue in college and if you just touch a kid, it's a foul. But in the NBA, you are allowed to use your hands to guide as long as you don't fully control. That makes slashing a lot harder. If you notice, most slashers in the NBA have excellent core strength (A.I., Mitchell, young Melo, Bron, Kobe, MJ, etc) and many of them also have excellent body control. Without it, you like Wiggins who while is at the lower end of this spectrum, is miles better than JJJ at it. That's problematic for me. The only uncoordinated big I've seen that translated and became a star is Mutombo and he had excellent BBIQ, defensive skills, and his core strength wasn't that bad although his body control and coordination was terrible. JJJ is uncoordinated, he can't control his body when pressure, and he has a weak core. This is the equivalent to being a 205 PF. It's not easy to overcome. Marvin had that issue as well and while he became a solid role player, he never was close to a star.

I don't see him exploding. I really want him to become a lot like what Larry Sanders became but with Sam Perkins range. He will have opportunity to drive every once in a while and he will also be a fine rim runner, fast break, big. He's an excellent if not elite run/jump athlete. He has a chance to be real chance to be good but this 20ppg is just highly unlikely. 14 ppg with great rim protection and defending screens and PnR's is what you hope he becomes.

His rebounding skills are subpar. I personally think his shot blocking skills are overstated. He has to do it because he lacks the strength and coordination. I don't see real rim protection like I do from Bamba. I see that Josh Smith/Theo Ratliff rim protection.
