Myles Garrett is Bruce Smith 2.0.

Future first ballot Hall of Famer IMO.

He's the easiest player to project in this class. He's almost built in a lab to rush the passer. I'll be shocked if he isn't first team all-pro by his second season.

The reason that "Bruce Smith 2.0" narrative is being thrown around is because top 5 DEs have been utter shyt the past 30 years since he was drafted.

DraftHistory.com

There has been no one besides maybe Peppers that has been worth having a prospect be considered their "2.0". The bust/underachiever rate has been catastrophic for three decades. And I could pull 10 names of prospects off that list that people said the same thing about.

If he goes to a team that coaches him up he can be good. Danielle Hunter was a raw DE that had great measurables and the Vikings turned him into a 12.5 sack guy.

I still think he's a bust, folded in too many games against decent competition.
Hunter was also drafted in the 4th round. Only 4 of the top 20 sack leaders from this past season were drafted in the top 10.

You guys ever try those Fanspeak mock draft simulators? They're fun as hell

Just finished one, and it's highly unlikely the Jets draft would play out like this. But if it did, I'd be doing backflips like an 01 Jeff Hardy :ohlawd:

Round 1: Leonard Fournette - RB, LSU
Round 2: Charles Harris - OLB, Missouri
Round 3: Kevin King - CB, Washington
Round 3: Jordan Leggett - TE, Clemson
Round 5: Eddie Jackson - S, Alabama
Round 6: Roderick Johnson - OT, FSU
Round 7: Chad Kelly - QB, Ole Miss
I like first-pick better. You can trade up and down and you get graded for each pick/overall draft and points at the end.
Unrealistic as shyt but still fun

I told y'all he killed this pre-draft process.

Plus teams are finally looking at the film closely and realizing just how bad the offensive line at Tennessee was last year and how many passes his receivers dropped. Plus they see how poor of a coach Butch Jones is.

Dobbs carried that program on his back the last two years and led them to their best record in a decade and did it with Butch Jones seemingly trying to sabotage the team.

This points out what I've been saying how sneaky good this WR class is. Crazy depth at WR
Its why I wouldn't be surprised if Mike Williams and Corey Davis drop to the middle of the 1st round/early 20s. Some times are just gonna wait till the 2nd or 3rd rounds to address that area.

I'm all for black excellence so :manny:

I think Dak's success is helping him as well though. Talented QBs with not a lot of talent around them and still persevere are getting noticed now :ehh:

I didn't think much of Dobbs. Only cause I expected him to be much better (by his SR. year) after I saw him play his sophomore year. Forgot Jones and the talent around him wasn't great.

Travin Dural should get day 3 looks. He's goin to be a home run hitter in the pros
QB/offense really ruined him and Dupre's stock. Seemed like both were future 1st round picks a couple years ago.

Damn shame Miles couldn't find/develop a QB. Even Shep is now making plays in the pros..

It's being reported that Lattimore's stock is going down

Two defensive backs, Adoree’ Jackson and Justin Evans, are swiftly moving up draft boards.

Jackson is viewed as a game changer and one of the most improved defensive backs in the country. Teams love Evans’ film and believe he’s cast in the Kam Chancellor mold.

On the other hand, the draft stock of Marshon Lattimore is seemingly moving in the opposite direction.

Two trusted sources told me they feel Lattimore is overrated and lacks coverage skills. I agree with both statements and have stated several times I believe Lattimore’s ball skills pale in comparison to those of teammate Gareon Conley.

Lattimore’s injury history is also a big red flag for teams.

Again from trusted sources, I’m told that despite reports that a hip flexor prematurely ended Lattimore’s combine workout -- he did not participate in position drills -- hamstring issues did play a role in sidelining him during the final day of workouts
