QB/offense really ruined him and Dupre's stock. Seemed like both were future 1st round picks a couple years ago.

Damn shame Miles couldn't find/develop a QB. Even Shep is now making plays in the pros..
Travin suffered from bad QB play more than anyone. In game he consistently beat his man and he'll get a ball thrown 3 feet over his head. It didn't help that he looked frustrated and disinterested at times but who wouldn't under those circumstances? He has big play ability that can translate to the pros and he has good hands, he didn't have a drop till the last game of the season. The year before that was his biggest problem.

He could be a steal I take a gamble on him in the 5th-7th round.

Its why I wouldn't be surprised if Mike Williams and Corey Davis drop to the middle of the 1st round/early 20s. Some times are just gonna wait till the 2nd or 3rd rounds to address that area.

I'm all for black excellence so :manny:

I think Dak's success is helping him as well though. Talented QBs with not a lot of talented around and still persevere are getting noticed now :ehh:

I didn't think much of Dobbs. Only cause I expected him to be much better (by his SR. year) after I saw him play his sophomore year. Forgot Jones and the talent around him wasn't great.

Tennessee had talent at the flashy positions like QB, RB, and WR so everyone assumed they were loaded at every position. However they had almost no talent on the o-line. When App State can dominate your o-line with a 4 man rush it should tell you there are serious problems with that position. And the o-line has been that bad for Dobbs entire tenure. Also the receivers dropped a ton of easy catches.

With that said, Butch Jones better hope he catches lightening in a bottle this year and wins the SEC East cause if he don't and guys like Dobbs, Kamara, Barnett, and Sutton are killing it in the NFL, it'll make him look bad for losing with all that high end talent.

@smitty22

It's being reported that Lattimore's stock is going down

People think I'm just a hater when I said Lattimore was overrated. The guy is not very good. Plus with his injury history he's got a huge red flag on him.

I was also one of the first to say Kevin King > Sidney Jones. Even before the achilles, King was passing up Jones after dominating the combine and Sidney Jones had a subpar combine.

I'm of the belief that even though Notre Dame (Kizer) and Tennessee (Dobbs) are losing their starting QBs that the newcomers will ultimately be better. :yeshrug:

I'm buying the Jarrett Guarantano and Brandon Wimbush hype. :ehh:

I don't know too much about the kid at Notre Dame but I will say you MIGHT be right about Guarantano. As a college QB, he has a good chance to be better than Dobbs. First of all, he's more physically talented than Dobbs. He's slightly taller, slightly faster, and has a stronger arm. However, Dobbs is more elusive as a runner and for now has better passing accuracy. With that said, what made Dobbs special in my eyes was his elite intangibles in terms of leadership, work ethic, intelligence, and competitiveness. I think Guarantano will be better in college cause he should be supported by a better supporting cast than Dobbs had the last 2 years (primarily along the offensive line). However, I doubt he'll be a better pro QB than Dobbs because in the NFL intangibles matter a lot more.

My NFL comparison for Jarrett Guarantano is 2012-13 Colin Kaepernick. While my NFL comparison for Dobbs is Randall Cunningham. 2012-13 Kaepernick was awesome but prime Cunningham was better.

With that said, there is no guarantee Guarantano starts this fall for Tennessee. Tennessee has another QB (Quentin Dormady) who is older and more experienced than Guarantano and many on the staff believe he is an NFL QB as well. So seniority and not much of a difference in talent level might help Dormady get the starting nod to at least start the season. I believe its likely you see Tennessee employing a 2 QB system next season.

They hate the fact that I freely speak my mind without caring if my opinions are accepted by others. Most of the dudes who hate on me wanna be me as well.

They're just not man enough to take the criticism I'm willing to take cause I ain't afraid to speak my mind.
