So we compete, keep trying while developing young talent and taking swings in the draft at cost controlled superstars. There's no point in us trading everybody and going through actual tanking and a rebuild when we have other teams handling the tank for us and we are walking out of these drafts with the player we want regardless.

Philly doesn't scare me, because I think there's virtually zero chance embiid can handle playing 70 games and a deep playoff run at any point in his career. Deep down you know it too, so what are we talking about? We should blow it up because of giannis?
IT and horford are winning u shyt even with bron gone to the west

Consolidating some of the talent would make sense at some point, if you sign Hayward and trade for George then it completely destroys the value of Brown & Tatum because despite what you think their development will be hurt in comparison to other guys from their draft who wont have to come off the bench for the next 3-4 years.

Guys need to play, you can't continually bring high lottery picks off the bench, you can't build a team for today and for the future at the same time, it's one or the other.

The stoop with dat dope fanny padding
The Celtics are going to leapfrog past one of GS, Cleveland & San Antonio this year?

They would've got ran off the court with Isaiah too. And truth be told, Smart's performance in that game 3 win was probably better than any Isaiah's had against Cleveland since he's been here.

I highly doubt whatever 3rd stringers take Zeller & Young's places will have a significant impact

Google Ante Zizic

And we are getting one of Hayward/Griffin

You have no idea what you're talking about

Jaylen Brown just took a shyt on your argument... what about kawhi?

Rookies don't need 30 mpg on a losing team to develop, there's other avenues

Such as? :jbhmm:

He's currently 7'0 216lbs, and unlike some of the skinny dudes you will name he's not a wing player.
He's 225 lbs. actually, and he should put on more weight in his freshman season at Texas. With a 7'8 wingspan he can be an impact defender immediately. KP, AD, Noel all able to have immediate impact as stick men in the top of their drafts in their rookie years. If you have game, you have game.

Kawhi was a starter by year 2 and started more than half the games as a rookie, is Jaylen going to start next year?

3 years in Marcus Smart still coming off the bench :francis:

Zizic is likely taking your beloved Olynyk's spot in the rotation, not Zeller.

Hayward will improve the team but he isn't putting them over the top. And also I love the irony in you talking about Embiid not being able to make it through a deep playoff run but then turning around and bringing up Griffin :russ:

KP was 237, Noel missed a year and got stronger, AD was good but I wouldn't call him an impact player when he was a rookie. Even Rudy Gobert had to add some strength before he could stay on the court.

I like Bamba, but he's not going to be in the running for ROTY or anything, he's got the highest ceiling in that draft because of his skillset but his body is definitely a work in progress.

Yes we will absolutely have to consolidate the roster but that part doesn't have to happen this season. They can put Tatum on the Jaylen Brown blueprint from last season and he will end up okay.

And like I said, I think it's unlikely all of Bradley crowder smart and rozier are on the roster next year... at least one of them is gone but ainge isn't doing anything til after free agency

All that being said he's not moving Tatum or Jaylen, he's pretty much flat out said that in last two days...

Drafting semih seemed like yabu insurance and he might get moved in whatever package

It's a fair point but if we are taking swings Griffin at his best is better than Hayward at his

Hayward is a safe pick I'm okay with either but I'm probably in the minority leaning towards Griffin... the good news is we can probably afford to play it safe with him due to our depth

On GS he's not playing anything but the 5. He improved his FTs this year but he's still not a threat to do anything offensively.

I'd be beyond shocked if Zaza and Javal aren't back. GS loves them.

Can he dunk?:gucci:

That's literally all he needs to do on offense besides rebound. He literally just has to hit the glass and block shots. They don't need anyone else to score which is why he's a perfect fit.

Why do you keep calling him undersized when GS likes to play small ball?:mjlol:
