The Celtics can't pass on Fox, they've got Jaylen, they don't need Tatum or Jackson. Trade the remaining picks for a young star who can help the backcourt and develop the team. Trading this year's pick will be terrible business IMO, unless it's for AD who's the only young player ready right now.

looooooool Booker not seeing KP.

Its not about him going to the league and having a coach ISO for him non-stop. No one is saying that. its about the fact that a guy flatout dominating everyone in front of him isn't getting the attention he honestly should be seeing.

Fox, Jackson, and Ball all have glaring holes in their game. Tatum? I guess he could play better defense, but so can everyone in college.

lol if you're a NBA team letting Tatum ISO on volume then you'll be in the lottery fairly quickly.

Clunky/not fluid, underwhelming distance shooting, incredibly poor defender, average handle, average passer who loves to operate from the most inefficient parts of the court without the savant mid range shooting of a Kobe/Dirk/Pierce. Tatum's success will be tied to his ability to play off ball shooting off the catch/dho/screens/etc while occasionally punishing mismatches out of PnR.

Again... I'm not saying that he's gonna go to the league and get to ISO 20 seconds a possession, I'm saying that a guy who shyt on everyone in front of him in college deserves a hell of a lot more attention than guys who manage to take less than a dozen mid-range shots over the course of a whole season.

And you don't need to be Kobe/Dirk/Pierce to make use of the whole court on the way to being efficient (which no rookie is offensively really), but if Harrison Barnes can score in the league while being a complete stiff then Tatum absolutely has the skillset to do it. At 6'8 and change, his handle is waaaay better than average and he actually knows what a pass looks like which puts him ahead of most of the rest of the wing class. No one hangs their hat on defense in college anymore. I stopped caring about that after I saw Drummond charmin his way through a whole season only to turn into a transformer once he started getting paychecks. If you're not a dedicated defense-first player, then its not worth evaluating seriously unless you're like Lauri and somehow manage to NOT block shots in spite of being the tallest guy in every game you play.

You don't go from consistently beating guys night in and night out off the dribble to being an off-ball pressure release...

KP got that big market hype. He's right there in the most prestigious/media epicenter of the world.

Not saying he's a scrub, but I'd take Booker straight up.

It's neck & neck.....Don't think one is all that greater than the other.

But if Booker played in NY, he'd probably be hyped as the next Kobe Bryant.

Especially after scoring 70 against the Celtics

Nope. Jennings scored 55 against Steph Curry and the Warriors in his rookie season. Miss me with that bull shyt (although I'm not implying that Booker will have the same career trajectory). I'll give Booker the edge as a scorer/shot creator and play maker, but Porzingis will be the better overall player and MUCH BETTER defensive player.

The mid range shot is a bad shot for anyone but 2 or 3 guys and Tatum not one of them :yeshrug:

Midget Jennings to 6'7 Booker with the crafty skill set of an old vet...at 19/20 yrs old?

30 pt quarters

27 in 7 minutes

various game winning shots

still 20..........

70>>>>55

Scoring 55 against the Warriors in '09?----THE WARRIORS WASN'T SHYT AT THAT POINT!!

Steph was breaking his own ankles back then.

Book went into arguably the most prestigious sports city in America, against the #1 seed in the east

and dropped the most points ever on em.

I'll give KP the edge n defense, moving forward, I don't trust his build.

I think he's a hairline fracture waiting to happen

On an expiring contract :gucci:
No way the Pacers are taking him. They are probably making room for Bron.

They don't want to move the #2, now they're in a position to wait it out or get us to take multiple first rounders late in the draft.

For what it's worth, there were rumors of us trying to get Lopez at the deadline (to be PG help). That's not why they included him in the Brooklyn deal though.

:wow: deeper than rap @KobeStans

seriously I fukking hate Kobe stans, but they deserve to have to look at LeBron every single game. It would be the biggest and most righteous form of poetic justice ever witnessed.
