looooooool Booker not seeing KP.
lol if you're a NBA team letting Tatum ISO on volume then you'll be in the lottery fairly quickly.
Clunky/not fluid, underwhelming distance shooting, incredibly poor defender, average handle, average passer who loves to operate from the most inefficient parts of the court without the savant mid range shooting of a Kobe/Dirk/Pierce. Tatum's success will be tied to his ability to play off ball shooting off the catch/dho/screens/etc while occasionally punishing mismatches out of PnR.
I disagree with the bolded in regards to Tatum. His film, his defensive rebounding %, his steal rate and block rate all are strikingly similar to Josh Jackson yet people talk as if Jackson is some instant lock down defender on the next level.
Tatum was easily the best defender on an under-achieving Duke team and his lateral quickness on defense is actually drastically better than his lateral quickness with the ball in his hand. Which is why he has this perception that he's not fluid enough defensively, but in reality his length, body frame and his motor makes him project to be at least a solid defender on the next level.
Go watch the entire Duke-NC State game where Dennis Smith Jr absolutely destroyed Duke and willed NC State to a W and you'll see the only players who could even stay laterally with him were Tatum and Frank Jackson.
