Why do you guys think Alabama fans give a fukk about their players succeeding after college? They get titles and recruit better than anyone, so who cares? Its not affecting recruiting or on the field....if every Michigan qb and linebacker was total busts i wouldn't care AT ALL if Michigan got titles and recruits.

True. And football recruiting is a lot different then basketball where the top recruits don't always make the best pros

At uk if you get the very top recruits every year you know a lot will turn out to be very good or great nba players

Bama ass DC
They're getting draft based on name bc they go to Bama, but Bama is not preparing these kids. Trent Richardson is a perfect example, he had no business even getting drafted but because he was a RB that went to Bama he was a top 5 pick.

Bama fan there's nothing wrong with being the Duke of college football but at least own up to it :mjlol: Yu guys get so defensive about it.
cause it's flat out wrong :beli:

What good team did Tennessee beat last year?

They beat 3 10-win teams (#19 Georgia, #13 Northwestern, and MAC Champion Bowling Green). I don't know if you consider those to be "good teams".

I would say Tennessee's most impressive feat last year was finishing #4 in the country in GAME CONTROL. The only teams ahead of them were Clemson, Alabama, and Oklahoma AKA 3 of the 4 playoff teams. That stat basically shows what I said all last preseason. Tennessee is a damn good team. Maybe even the best team in the country. We dominated every team we played last year except for Alabama (who we went blow for blow with for 48 minutes).

We were just young and inexperienced so we had some inexplicable collapses. We lost to Oklahoma, Florida, and Arkansas after leading them by 13+ points. We were a 4th down stop from beating both Oklahoma and Florida. We were a redzone fumble from beating Arkansas. And we were 3 missed FGs from beating Alabama. Basically you change 4 plays last year and we're 12-0 rather than 8-4.

This team was SO CLOSE to being special. And they did while the majority of their 2-deep was true freshmen and sophomores. All those guys are back in 2016. They're bigger, faster, stronger, and more mentally tough after going through such brutal losses. They're gonna be ready. And they will dominate.

Like I said. Sit back and enjoy the show. This will be one of the best teams in HISTORY.

This is the NFL you're talking about they do NOT CARE about the college, they're investing in the player. Trent got drafted because he was a beast in college and did well in the combine / pro day. These NFL scouts are out here getting qbs from division II and wide receivers and defensive ends from the MAC. They don't care about an Alabama reputation for first round draft pick money breh.

success begets attention which is what Alabama sells.

There's a reason some of Phil Steele's computers picked Tennessee to win the national title this year.

The analytics love us because they know we were alot closer to being 12-0 last year than anyone realizes. And we did it with such a young team. We dealt with a number of devastating injuries. And we played a brutally tough schedule.

This year the schedule is easier (no Oklahoma, Florida and Alabama at home). We have better depth to withstand injuries. And all those young freshmen and sophomores that powered our rise back to respectability are now grizzled sophomores and juniors. I jumped the gun a year early last year cause I saw this potential. This year Tennessee blows the roof off college football. They'll run away with the championship.

:beli: I asked you one question and you gave me four paragraphs about made up game control stats and being young. And no, Northwestern, Georgia, nor especially Bowling fukking Green were not good. Georgia didn't finish the season ranked, and Bowling Green wasn't even in the final "others receiving votes."

Ok. We beat nobody good.

But we were the only team in college football to play 2 of the 4 playoff teams last year (Oklahoma and Alabama).

We dominated Oklahoma for 3.5 quarters. Holding them to just 3 points thru 3 quarters before our young guys collapsed.

And we went blow for blow with Alabama for 4 quarters. Even taking a lead in Tuscaloosa with less than 5 minutes. We ultimately gave up a last minute TD and lost by only 5 points to the eventual national champion. The same margin of loss as everyone's darling going into 2016, Clemson.

Actually 2 all pros.Cj Mosley and Dont'a.

Oh yeah and Eddie Lacy so that's 3 All Pros.

Add Julio and Dareus and that's 5 All Pros.

And alot of those other players are still on NFL rosters making a good living.:ehh:
