We've only given up 27 points to Arkansas since Bret has been there, specifically talking defense :manny:
Yea but the games were still close. Two years ago wasn't it a one point win and last year was close until late.

Arkansas might ball out this year they loss a lot of talent on offense but it's the offensive coordinator they hired last year that had them putting up points. They dealt with a lot of injuries last year and was just pluggin in players and still putting up points. Their defense was also young last year. I can see then finish 3rd in the West and finish in the top 15

Mamba Mentality # Kobe&GiGi. #LakerNation #LWO
They better be :mjpls:

BTW when I get home I'm gone sketch out some things for the OP of the game thread, if you got any suggestions

Same OL minus 1 kept Bama to 2 sacks ....so unless you are telling me Lawson & company are better than that Bama line...then i like our chances. Worry about those LBS y'all got getting abused making Steele walk those Safeties up.

Seriously though...what do you feel is the weakest part of y'all defense this offseason.

Ours will be CB...talent is there...but we all saw how Mac getting injured made us vulnerable

I think a lot of people will be surprised about this defense. They started playing really well toward the end of the year. Harassed Memphis's qb in the bowl game and held the game with Bama close until the 4th (just couldn't score enough in that one last year). Linebackers might be more of the weakness early, but we have a graduate transfer from Illinois that led their team in tackles, along with a couple of guys with experience last year, and some young guys. There is probably more talent in this linebacker group than last year. defensive backs and d-line should be stacked pretty good, especially the d-line. Will have at least 12 guys rotating in and out on the d-line. It all depends on what we get out of JF3, Sean White, and Jeremy Johnson at the quarterback position.

JFIII looking like the favorite right?

During his redshirt year one of the mods on 247 compared him to Charlie Ward :comeon: Doubt that but I'm rooting for him

He's not Charlie Ward, but he's got some skill. The dangerous part will be when he's on those read option plays. His speed is great, just needs to know when to get down at his size. He's hovering under 200 pounds at this point. I don't know whether he will start vs Clemson. The more I think about it though, I'm going to say Sean White gets in there for the start until down in the red zone. Hoping all of them do good though, The more reliable qbs we have the better.
