if ya'll must know, these are the only "ELITE" programs in the country IMO. taking the last 10-15 years into account.

Big 10 - Ohio State and Michigan
Big 12 - Oklahoma and Texas
Pac 12 - USC and Oregon
ACC - Florida State and Miami
SEC - Alabama, LSU, Florida, Auburn, and Georgia

this is why the SEC is considered the best. while the rest of the power 5 have 2 elite programs. the SEC has 5 legit elite programs.
What has Georgia done in the last 10-15 yrs that Wisky, Penn St or MSU hasn't?

produced more nfl players :yeshrug:

you right to call me on the georgia one. they're a team that has the profile of an ELITE program. always top 5-10 in recruiting. always producing top tier NFL players. always winning 10 or more games. they've just CHOKED too many times. I'll still say they're an elite program eventhough all they've got is 2 SEC titles. IMO they're way better than Wisconsin, Michigan State, and Penn St. based on the caliber of players they produce year in year out.

I personally blame them for not getting a coach that can get them over the top. Marc Richt is killing a program than should have a natty or two already based on the quality of talent they've produced.

This where you show you bias and delute your argument. Regardless if GA produced 50.000 more nfl players than those other teams or better caliber players than those other teams, their team sucess hasn't been better than those teams.

I think its more the coach than anything. Georgia is just too loyal to Richt. He's a good guy but he's not a good coach. He's had the SEC east crown given to him on a platter the last 2 years and somehow fumbled it away. IMO Georgia will continue to be an elite program as long as the state of Georgia keeps chruning out elite football players.

its the same reason Florida and Miami will always be elite in my books because of the caliber of players they produce.

So u value players more than actual winning. Players dont = winning all the time. To each his own though

If Georgia had a real coach, that would be a perennial top 5 program. the football talent in Georgia has improved more than anywhere the last decade.
